LLMPapa's Video Depiction Could Cook Up A Zimmerman Conviction
LLMPapa has made quite a name for himself, particularly in video production, since the Trayvon Martin tragedy began making headlines. He’s got such a sharp eye and uniquely analytical mind that complement each other so well, nothing seems to escape him. His work is a gourmet blend of just the right ingredients.
While I fancy myself more of a writer than a videographer, I did manage to get my hands on footage from inside The Retreat at Twin Lakes the other day. I think most of you have probably seen it by now. If not, you can view it on YouTube, where I’ve uploaded some 40 videos. LLMPapa, on the other hand, has produced and uploaded nearly 300. In his latest video, he, once again, pokes holes in one of Zimmerman’s stories now reaching the size of a city block made of Swiss cheese. That would be row after row of thinly sliced fromage piled as high as the Orlando skyline.
The video I put together begins where Zimmerman allegedly parked his vehicle the night of February 26, got out and walked in search of a street name. Or was it a house number? Or was he pursuing Trayvon? I use the word “allegedly” lightly because you can’t trust one word that comes out of his mouth. Did he actually park his SUV where he said he did? Was he really looking for an address when he acknowledged following Trayvon after the dispatcher asked and scolded him for doing so? Something he later denied? That the dispatcher asked for an address that was, in fact, never asked for? You get the picture.
Anyway, LLMPapa, affectionately known as Papa, is like a five-star chef. He has a blank check when it comes to my grocery store of video vittles. He is free to mince, dice, chop and slice any and all elements in order to cook up a crowd pleasing platter of truth when it comes to the rotting lies of George Zimmerman. Low and behold, he did just that! For sure, you can always count on a real treat because he really knows how to dish it. Feed your eyes and ears on this. It’s a veritable mind feast…
To be fair, I think it’s only right to acknowledge a separate video put together by Trent Sawyer, under his pseudonym of stateoftheinternet, that also used part of my footage from The Retreat at Twin Lakes complex.
Finally, I want to thank Frederick Leatherman for posting and promoting my video on his blog, and Xena for helping to put it all together. This is truly a concerted effort. We are seeking nothing more than justice — without skipping dessert or running from the truth.

I'm going to go back and read the comments I missed earlier. I had a memorial service and reception to attend today for 5-year-old Caitlin, so I have been rather disconnected from the blog. All is well now and I'm glad it's over, but... poor segue... I see how personalities clash and problems commence. I think, like I've said before, that we need to sit back before writing with such deep, personal emotion. Everyone has an opinion and there are many we disagree with. Interestingly, the treenutz were mocking me for being fat and dumpy and I found that to be very, very strange. I mean, look at their hero, for crying out loud. He's got me beat by 75 lbs, but what was their point? To insult me? HAHAHAHAHAHA! Ultimately, their only defense against what I write and the videos I shoot is to call me insulting names.
Newbie: Oh? Well, just so you know, big, fat Georgia weighed in at 205 lbs that night. And although like many short fat people, it is hard to find 'proof' of his actual height, but I believe it to be about 5'7" or 5'8".
In my books that makes him short and fat and wide.
You should also check out his My Space pictures. He has been a big, fat ‘boy’ most of his adult life. In fact, he could have been using the Adderall to drop some pounds.
Not only is he big, fat Georgie now, (because my comment did not specify that I was referring to his size exactly at the time he shot dead Trayvon Martin.)--he is big, fat, drugged Georgie.
I was being kind.
One thing is for certain, George Zimmerman is not living with "superior autobiographical memory". He couldn't even keep the events of a single night straight. So, why is it that many are so willing to dismiss Dee Dee's recall? From what I have read, the two versions of the story she has told are pretty darn consistent. The same can't be said of George. From where I sit, Dee Dee has demonstrated far more maturity than the majority of players in this case. She told her story before the rest of the world had the opportunity to view/listen to George's reenactment, or his interviews with LE or examine the timeline of events when compared to phone or 911 records. Not even Trayvon's parents had access to that information.
Had her intention been to stretch the truth, she could easily have claimed to have heard the entire exchange between George and Trayvon. She did not do that. She ended her version of events with their call being disconnected.
She knew what to say, because she was telling the truth. She has had no need to make material changes in her story because she had no need to lie.
"There has to be a reason this girl never told anyone until weeks later."
I know what you mean. I feel the same way about a trained officer of the law, whose report cites KNOWING there was no immediate access to a digital camera, taking pictures at a homicide scene of the victim and the shooter, then claiming to NOT KNOW there were no pictures of the shooter until....are you ready for this?.....a few days AFTER a 15 year old girl came forward with her story.
OooWee....talk about coming to the rescue!
BTW, have you ever loaded a pic into Photobucket? After loading, hit the edit tab, then the adjustment tab, and finally the focal blur tab. Give a whirl to dragging the adjustable focal point around any facial feature. In short order, you'll be surprised how well you can make a nose look as likely broke as GZ's or as long as Pinocchio's.
It won't take anywhere near FOUR WEEKS, like it did Officer Michael Wagner's "picture".

Dave, my prayers are with Caitlin's family. Don't worry about us..we are all adults here and should be able to police ourselves for one day. I will do my level best to remain civil on your blog, even if I must sit on my hands from time to time.LOL
Thank you LLM Papa. I had completely forgotten about that "minor" delay in reporting.
If anyone can look at the pic of Georgia as hes referred to for whatever reasons the night he was taken into custody, hes not fat. I wonder who was in better shape? The 17 year old lean machine or the fat 28 year old loser? I want to know how George overpowered Trayvon, is their any videos of that?
[Better yet, is there a video of Trayvon overpowering George? After all, you are putting Trayvon on trial, not the other way around. Same thing with DeeDee, except that you've already found her guilty, although I have no idea what laws she's broken.]
BTW, here is a pic of Georgie the night of the murder-

Yeah, he looks seriously obese here!

Your picture is kind of blurry, Britt. I could come up with a clearer one.

Short, fat, and wide. : - )

[I'm more interested in why his pulse was normal on the night of the killing and a rapid 109 the following day on his clinic report. I suffer from tachycardia. He does not. I know a thing or two about it.]
Dave, do you by chance have quick access to the statement GZ gave to Serino where he explained how he gained control of Trayvon's arm (Serino called it wrist control) and how he was able to move his free hand out of the way, aim and shoot Trayvon?
I find it interesting that we have arrived at the point where the physical attributes of two males is the determining factor in a debate where a gun was the determining factor in the outcome of a wrestling match. I say gun trumps size hands down.
As an aside, I have a great nephew is a junior in high school and fits the description of Trayvon's size almost exactly. My grandson, two years younger, is built much like GZ. Not fat by any means, just more compact. There is about a 3" or 4" difference in their height. Whenever they are wrestling around, the shorter and heavier one wins every time. As a matter of fact, although both are excellent athletes, the tall and lanky one seems to be at a complete disadvantage, especially when they are on the floor. I am not claiming that is the norm, but it certainly is the case with those two boys..
[Vicky - Please see my following comment. You're right. HOW MUCH DID THE GUN WEIGH AND IS IT IMPORTANT TO THE CASE?]
Not all bad guys look like Ted Bundy any more than all presidents look like John F. Kennedy. Not all good guys look like me, either. What I'm saying is that looks don't make the man.
There are people of all shapes, sizes and colors in the world and there's a good few of them that read here. Some of them are fat. Some are destined to remain so, and if I had to place myself somewhere between Trayvon and Zimmerman on a scale of 1 to 10, with Trayvon being a 1, I'd have to say I'm a 7. To a skinny dude, that makes me fat. To a fat person, I'm not, but ain't nobody be callin' me Slim.
In other words, I'm a little self-conscious about my weight at times, and if I am, I'm sure a lot more people are, too. Even more so. Good thing for me, I happen to be easy going and comfortable in my own skin. Many people are not.
If looks make the man, what would I be?
"If looks make the man, what would I be? " said Marinade.
I shall go and drink a fifth and not plead it. Cheers!!
ChicaDee, May I join you? LOL
Dave, IMO, the true beauty of a man or woman comes from within. I have known people who when I met them for the first time, I found very attractive, but upon getting to know them, their inner ugliness changed my mind. Conversely, I have met people who upon first sight I thought were somewhat unfortunate looking, but within a short period of time, their inner beauty changed my initial take on their appearance.
[Absolutely! Look at Danny DeVito. A mere five feet tall and rotund, but what a national treasure he is.]
Vicky, I believe when a person tells the truth they don't have recall problems of what they did say previously.
[It's great to see you, cali patti! I'll second that! Stories don't change when you tell the truth.]
Sempre Invictus, i would be honored if you joined me. i do not like it when people make fun of a person's physical appearance. I am with you and agree beauty comes from within. I can understand it when people say unkind things about G Z's actions and he deserves it but what has his looks got to do with anything? I stopped reading at a couple blogs because of such things. Now I will fetch two shot glasses and be right back.
ChickaDee, you got a third shot glass? Actually, how about an eight ounce glass tonight?
Wow. Job very well done!
[What a REAL treat, Tiffany! Thank you very much, and it is great to see you.]
Two more shot glasses please, I 'm bringing Tiffany with me.
Well hello there Tiffany and Cali Patti!! What a pleasant surprise to come and see you both in here. Don't be strangers okay?? I have some shot glasses if you don't mind 2 % milk.
Good heavens, it just struck me. You get what...two ounces of milk if drinking with you Snoopy....should I ask what size cookies you might serve...lol.
Off subject again. After commenting about a two ounce shot glass, it crossed my mind that I really didn't know how many ounces were in a shot glass. Googling to find out ....wow. Standard at one time was one and a half ounce. I stopped reading at that point.....way too much information.
Newbie~ ~I have thimble cookies so you can do some dunking in your milk.
Don't Ignore the Evidence: Stand Your Ground Is Bad for Florida
I will leave Dave and others to address your assertions and will stick with conversing with those who are interested in an exchange of ideas and opinions. and who are more open to reciprocal exchanges of dialogue..
Sempre Invictus and nan11
ITA Britt has proven many times she is never interested in facts, she still insists you grow in height from rigor mortis. ROFL ;-) way funny.
Newbie
Having been a bartender for many years I have some knowledge of what it's about. Shot glasses come in sizes 3/4 oz and up. I don't know if it's still done but any years ago places would advertise a shot of whiskey or whatever for a very small price, like 99 cents. What the sign did not say is it was "well booze"not top shelve, and only 3/4 oz.
There are many tricks in the bar business from "icing a glass" to drinks made in a big machines with very little alcohol content.
I'm not drinking 2% milk, I want good old fashioned, made in the USA, Apple Pie. (moonshine, apple juice & cinnamon)
Sorry Dave, last of my off topic, ;)
[That's fine, cali patti. I'm relegated to sugar-free ice cream, so I'm envious.]
May be of some interset
The handgun George Zimmerman used to kill Trayvon Martin is a lightweight, inexpensive 9 mm semiautomatic manufactured in Cocoa, Fla.
The Kel-Tec 9 mm PF-9 is one of the lightest, thinnest 9 mm guns on the market — a gun so small and light you can carry it in your pocket undetected
Translation: It's designed to shoot people at short range.
The gun's biggest selling point is its small size. It's less than an inch wide and when fully loaded weighs just 18 ounces, less than half the weight of a conventional 9 mm.

Dave~~I hope it is okay to post all the info on SYG...I have taken a great interest in this law and others may find some of this of interest. Things are a bit slow in the Z case right now until we get another small doc dump which should be coming soon..
Florida's notorious Stand Your Ground law is being used in ways lawmakers never intended.
The Florida lawmaker who initially sponsored Stand Your Ground said the law was never meant to protect people who put themselves in danger, according to a Sunday report in the Tampa Bay Times.

The Florida Stand Your Ground Law Helped Drug Dealers Beat Murder Charges: Report
[I guess it's true that almost all laws have loopholes. This one, too, and Mark O'Mara is doing his best to exploit any and all of them. But hey! It's his job.]
TommysMom~~I was raised around shot guns, rifles and twenty-twos. They put venison on the table at meal time. I am terrified of handguns as I see them as killing people and maybe target practice. I find it hard to accept that people have to arm themselves with a concealed weapon in order to feel safe walking down a street in a civilized country. Oh we are not without murders in my country with the use of illegal firearms or sawed off shot guns. Heck some have even resorted to chain saws or pick axes not forgetting knives. It's a mad mad world out there...
Dave you would be Fluffly! LOL You asked. Although you look thin ^ there in that picture.
Funny thing about those photos taken at the police station. George does not look like he has been in a struggle or fight. His shirt is neatly tucked in, so I guess some might say he fixed it. Why? Would he not want the evidence to point to a struggle? OR why would he care what he looked like? He just shot and killed someone. As far as his heart rate and blood pressure they took that while he sat in the back of a police car. Holy crap my heart would be in my throat and blood pressure would be off the charts, that is a back seat I never ever want to be in!
Nan thank you for those links to the videos.
[You mean... Fluffy, like a buttermilk pancake made with Bisquick? Darn, Michelle, you're making me hungry! (I so totally agree about George's appearance and, especially, his pulse moments after the shooting. He was as cool as a cucumber and something's not right about that.]
Just to reiterate and comment on some of the information already mentioned.
Trayvon was 5'11" and weighed 158lbs. He was a typical gawky adolescent, slender with the under-developed musculature that would mature through his early 20s. His height was not only accentuated by his slimness, but also in relation to the people around him in those family photographs we've seen. Not only was he still physically immature, but his cognitive abilities would not have been fully developed until his mid-20s; his voice would most likely have changed as well (a lot of people don't know that; puberty in human males, including voice, continues beyond adolescence).
Zimmerman was 28 years old at the time of the shooting, a fully developed adult male. On the medical report completed the following day, his measured height is 5'7" and his weight 204lbs with a BMI of 31.48; he was medically obese, but photographs taken the night of the shooting show a rather compact body. His walking pace as evidenced in the re-enactment video is average-to-slightly above average. Anecdotal and documented evidence shows that he has a background in physical violence: roughly shoving a police officer, picking up and throwing a woman whilst working as a bouncer, and domestic violence towards his former fiancée.
There is no evidence of Trayvon having had a violent or criminal background, and no evidence that he had had any training or experience in fighting.
[Thank you for making that ABUNDANTLY clear, nemerinys. Why some people wish to continue arguing about things that will NEVER enter the immunity hearing or trial is beyond me.]
Also, DeeDee's testimony is just icing on the cake. It is not necessary to prove that Zimmerman pursued Trayvon, first by car and then on foot. It is not necessary to prove Trayvon was frightened enough to run away from his pursuer. Her testimony cannot prove the route taken by Trayvon, nor his physical location when the confrontation with Zimmerman occurred.
In other words, whatever curiosity people have about when she knew of Trayvon's death, what she thought or did/did not do when the phone went dead, what she thought or did/did not do in the week or two after his death, etc., is of no account in the matter of the State of Florida vs. Zimmerman.
What her testimony does do is provide evidence that Trayvon was not simply whiling away the time until he could "attack" Zimmerman. For both that purpose and for providing Trayvon's "voice" in the proceedings, her testimony has been consistent. How and why the ABC recording of her interview with Benjamin Crump is more clear than his own recording, or why ABC was present at all, does nothing to impede or contradict her testimony.
(Upon re-reading this, I may very well be responding to comments made on other blogs as well as here; I just get a little ticked off with any innuendo that there's something "iffy" about DeeDee).
[BRAVO! To place the onus on DeeDee is nothing more than deflection. Politicians use it all the time to take the heat off the main issue. Too bad the acorns will never quite grasp the concept, nor will they ever understand that they'll never achieve their goal of assassinating her character. Nothing takes away from GZ's lies, and that's all that matters.]
Tommy's mom, thank you for the info on the shot glass and "tricks" used to get people in the bar. Also, the brief and concise info on the weapon used to kill TM. You know the ammunition was the most harmful that could be used in that type weapon....hollow point.
nemerinys, well said. Thank you !!! And thank God for DeeDee and her courage.
Sorry, everyone, I'm on a roll here (I warned you Dave!)
There is no evidence that Trayvon punched Zimmerman on the nose or anywhere else. There is no evidence that Trayvon bashed Zimmerman's head onto the ground. There is no evidence that Trayvon attempted to smother Zimmerman by covering his mouth and nose. In fact, there is evidence to the contrary.
There is no evidence that Zimmerman walked to Retreat View Circle after exiting his truck, nor that he sought to return to his truck during or after his NEN call. There is no evidence of a confrontation or struggle at the T. In fact, there is evidence to the contrary.
There is no evidence that Trayvon had any idea that Zimmerman was carrying a firearm, nor has anyone provide a rational explanation as to how Trayvon could have "felt" or "seen" the gun, holstered as it was in a five o'clock position behind Zimmerman's right hip, a small and slender compact holstered inside Zimmerman's waistband.
There is only one witness to say that it was Zimmerman yelling for help, and that witness, unfortunately for the defense, is seriously compromised. There is only one witness to say that the "argument" traveled from north to south, and that testimony would be easily impeached. All but one piece of evidence of the confrontation is well south of the T, in the direction of Trayvon's destination, not Zimmerman's.
There is evidence of Zimmerman criminally profiling Trayvon, associating him with those suspected of having committed burglary and/or theft - his comments "these assholes, they always get away" and "fucking punks" point directly to his state of mind. We know from the NEN call that the dispatcher asked no questions about an address until well after Zimmerman had left his truck, and did so only after Zimmerman stated that he wanted to meet the dispatched LEO. We also know that Zimmerman first agreed to meet the LEO at his truck, then at the mailboxes, and then interrupted the dispatcher to ask that the LEO call him "and I'll tell him where I'm at." This request was wholly unnecessary given that a meeting place had already been agreed to.
We know that Trayvon was not committing, nor intent on committing, a criminal act. We know that Trayvon was not dressed appropriately for a spot of night-time burglary, and that previous crimes occurred during the day, not the evening. We certainly know that a early Sunday evening, and a cold and rainy night, are hardly conducive to unlawfully entering a home. We know, in short, that Trayvon's presence would not have caused a reasonable person to assume that he was a criminal or was about to commit a crime, and that walking in the rain and proceeding on a steady route would not cause a reasonable person to follow him in any way.
And just to make a very long comment even longer, Neighborhood Watch works with law enforcement, not as a substitute for it. Zimmerman's role as "captain" was really that of "coordinator," meaning that his duties were to get as many residents involved in the NW as possible, to create a telephone tree, and to help assign block captains. He did a piss-poor job, and it appears that his only interest was to patrol the community and proudly serve "his neighborhood" by calling in open garage doors, young children unaccompanied by an adult walking in the street, kids playing around, etc. And, of course, the presence of young black men because "we've had some burglaries recently."
And none of that nonsense about "but he was going to the store, he wasn't serving as Neighborhood Watch captain that night." Bull. For one thing, there is no evidence that Zimmerman was going to the store, whether to buy their weekly groceries or to get some milk (as his father attests). For another, there's no NW hat or special NW boots to put on or take off whenever one feels like it. Being part of Neighborhood Watch means that you look out for your neighbors and reporting suspicious activity. People do this even if they're not part of NW. Zimmerman had called in speeders, potholes, and the incidents I mentioned above, all presumably when he was not acting "officially" (and long before he even moved to RATL).
[FANTASTIC rationale! All of it. Your comments have pretty much summed the entire case up. I cannot think of anyone else, myself included, who could have done a better job. Thank you, nemerinys. Thank you very much, and please keep them coming.]
nemerinys~ ~great insightful comments...keep on a rolling.. Zimmerman's goose is cooked as he will find out when the verdict is handed down.
Except in the neighborhood watch program, there is NO SUCH THING AS AN ACTIVE WATCH- you dont get a schedule for you to look out the window for a few hours. I am not sure why someof you cant grasp that.
[Britt, you have to understand the word active. When I was in the restaurant business, there were lulls, when no customers were in the store. However, when they came in, I certainly didn't need to look at my schedule to find out if it was necessary to wait on them or not. I as ALWAYS READY, and so was George. He patrolled his neighborhood every day and night. Ask Frank Taaffe and Mark Osterman. They've already stated, and quite openly, that your superhero was on duty at all times. That's how gooooood he was! ALWAYS WORKING THE NEIGHBORHOOD! He ate, slept and (you know) the NW program. Dang, he even protected Target with his 9mm. Lucky them.]
Keep on rolling Nemerinys!
One thing that really gets to me about George, is the he stated he would not change anything that he did the night he shot and killed an unarmed teenager. If I were the SAO, that question and answer would be the final thing a jury would hear before going into the jury room for deliberation..
Thank you Newbie, Snoopy and Vicky - I just had to let it all out!
Why, Britt, that's precisely what I was explaining. I'm glad that you understand that point, and, thus, that you agree that Zimmerman cannot be excused from contravening significant Neighborhood Watch guidelines (and SPD advisories) by saying "but he wasn't on active duty! He was going to the store!"
Dave
How fitting that the music in this video is by The Police!!! (also happens to be my favorite song by Sting)!
Every breath you take
Every move you make
Every claim you stake
Every vow you break
I'll be WATCHING YOU!
[Thank you, Mystical Pippin, but LLMPapa has to get the credit for that song. I shot the original video and used Grieg. He took my footage and turned it into his masterpiece. I knew he would.
BTW, it is great to see you!]
Newbie - You are absolutely right about DeeDee's courage, and it's something that I hadn't even realized. It must have been rather difficult to contemplate, regardless of her attachment to Trayvon, opening herself up to official interviews and public scrutiny, and to the knowledge that, once she made that choice, there was no turning back. We can see it as a moral decision, one that should have been so easy to make; getting involved, however, can be frightening for anyone, and particularly so for a teenage girl.
Snoopy - Yep, I've a feeling that Zimmerman is blind to the evidence against him. I do believe, however, that O'Mara is fully aware of the detriments he faces, and this explains his plan to narrow the self-defense to focus chiefly on the moment Zimmerman shot Trayvon. I doubt it will work. IMO, the only way Zimmerman is found not guilty is if the prosecution is lousy (which is possible), or if even one member of the jury has, um, 'issues.'
Since not much is happening with the case lately, more than a few 'Trayvonites' have been indulging in conspiracy theories - such as Zimmerman not being alone that night, or believing he was racking his gun during the NEN call - that drive me up the wall. To calm myself, I've gone back to the evidence available to the public, and go through it piece by piece. Like listening to the NEN call, and noting what it proves and not proves. Then looking at the debris field, then Trayvon's autopsy report, the SFD medic's report of Zimmerman's injuries and physical status, and his medical report completed the following day. Then there are the laboratory reports. And, after all that, I read the witness statements and interviews.
It's been an interesting process. The thing that's been the most interesting is that Zimmerman's statements are almost superfluous to the State's case. And should the prosecutors choose to admit them, they will prove far more helpful to the prosecution than to the defense.
Zimmerman really is up the proverbial creek.
nemerinys~~after the Anthony decacle I tend to keep my guard up. I would feel much better if the charge were reduced to manslaughter. Angela Corey has been known to raise the stakes in hopes of getting one to plea. I realize it doesn't make much difference in the punishment compared to second-degree murder when a firearm is used to commit the crime. I think Pinellas County jurors put the fear of hoot into some of us. Once bitten, twice shy.
I am also a bit timid about BDLR being the lead attorney for the state. Come trial time, I hope he is a bit more organized. Jurors can be swayed in how an attorney presents him/herself. Let's just hope they will be able to seat a jury of six plus the alternates. This is when we may see race come into play. JMO
Britt - do you have any kids ? I have one son, who is now 35 but when he was 17 he skipped a lot of school, played way too much D & D games, way too much role playing, at least in my mind. He also tried a few drugs and when I found out acid was his drug of choice, I was one very concerned and upset parent. He got in one fight when he tried to defend his friend who had been jumped by someone as they were walking home one night. What if the guy had pulled a knife or gun on the kids ? I guess people would have been able to say all kinds of bad things about my son if they were wanting to just like people are doing to trayvon. He didnt have a long rap sheet , there is no proof yet that he was anything but a 17 yr old kid. We havent read comments from people that knew him to say that he was a kid who liked to pick fights, nothing of the sort has come out except that he skipped a lot of school and smoked some dope , sheesh big deal, that is pretty much what a lot of teens do. I told my son to smoke his dope at home so that I at least knew where he was, because he was gonna do it regardless. Does that mean they all deserve to be shot and killed ? My son grew up and ended up with top marks in university and is a great father of 3 now. Trayvon doesnt get that chance. Trayvon was on the phone talking with a girl, hardly sounds like a guy that is gonna go try to kill some other guy. George on the other hand does have a history of violence, and he mistakenly jumped to wrong thoughts about what Trayvon was up to. If George hadnt had his gun that night he would have let Trayvon keep on walking , maybe he would have followed him in his truck, but I dont believe for a second that he would have gone out and after Trayvon without a gun, I am not buying that Trayvon jumped George out of the blue for no reason at all. It just isnt what a kid is gonna do when he is talking to his g/f on the phone. And my belief for the reason Trayvon didnt go into his dads place when it sounds like he would have been able to make it there was that he had no reason to believe that he hadnt gotten rid of George. I think he just went back to what he was doing and the guy who appeared to be following him was in his vehicle and Trayvon didnt know the guy would get out and come after him on foot. He should have been safe from George but we all heard George say, he has no regrets for that night. Really ? hard to believe he has screwed up his life, but he still still thinks his suspect was a thug and that is what caused his death. George has messed up his life, probably for the rest of his life, even if he doesnt get convicted, or he may spend many years in jail but thats okay , no regrets
Well, I remember reading around here that Casey Anthony was going to prison as well, and we all know how that turned out.
It seems to me the State wants the case tossed and forgotten, hence all these "Accidental" leaking Bernardo seems to do on a regular basis and this is after he had the nerve to ask for a gag order.
This will get dismissed at a SYG hearing and thats what the State is hoping for. The testimony of a girl who is supposed to be in love with Trayvon but didn't tell the cops he was scared and hunted his last minutes is never going to be credible to a jury. Bottom line.
[Bottom line seems to be that you relish in the outcome of Casey Anthony's trial, but you cannot compare that case to this one. While I agree that BDLR screwed up big time, I don't think he's purposely trying to throw the case. I also find it ironic that he went for a gag order - twice - and ends up releasing witnesses names. That's inexcusable, but it won't amount to dropping charges. Releasing those names will not influence the outcome of the trial, and that's the litmus test.
Why you obsess yourself with DeeDee is beyond me. What George did the night of February 26 is the only issue, not how some 16-year-old girl handled the situation AFTER THE FACT. Get over it and move on to something that makes sense. Only an idiot would blame someone for something AFTER THE FACT; someone over 250 miles and 4 hours away, and on a school night, to boot. Tell me you can do better than that!]
Ok, I'm going to stick my nose in here to disagree with Britt on one thing in particular. Neighborhood watch is ALWAYS "on duty". If he was going to the store, returning, taking out trash, or checking the mail he was "on duty" - it's not a scheduled duty. By that the guidelines tell you to keep your eyes open and report anything suspicious. It does not say follow the person, it does not say carry a sidearm, it does not say "don't lose site of them". The problem with Zimmerman was he seemed to feel or act like he was a one-man watch and he wasn't. He shouldn't have done any of the things he did because up until Zimmerman started watching him and following him, Trayvon wasn't acting suspicious. From reports he was just walking through the complex and talking on his cell phone. The "acting suspicious" was in George's mind and I have a feeling it was due to side effects of drugs he was taking.
[Thank you, Connie. And anyone on duty with a weapon like that should be affiliated with a law enforcement agency. When Zimmerman called NEN that night, he considered himself on duty. He said so in his acknowledgement that he was with the NW program. In that capacity. Period. End of argument. He was always on duty and he was proud of it.]
I love Blueberry banana pancakes, Dave. Is there any other kind other than fluffy pancakes?
Britt well thank gawd George is credible. With the running and skipping hoopla the jury will have no reason to doubt him. Or the imaginary butt kicking he took. His little minor injuries do not look like the work of a 6'2 200 pound thug. If anything they look like marks a girl would leave.
[And I love them, too, Michelle. Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits.]
Thank you, Dave, for the compliment. I'm just glad that no one wrote "Hey nemerinys, give us a break!" I cringe every time I comment because each one is so long, but I just had to let off some steam, and Britt was the perfect last straw.
Britt, two mistakes doth not "regular basis" make. Both (the release of Zimmerman's academic records and the unredacted witness names and addresses) were pretty bad, but neither one will serve to 'disqualify' the actual court case.
I seriously doubt that Angela Corey would bring charges against Zimmerman if she weren't intent on seeing him convicted. Her reputation, as well as those of Bernard de la Rionda (Bernardo? Really?) and John Guy, would not be put on the line either for political grandstanding or to have the case end at an immunity hearing. A hearing for which Mr. O'Mara has yet to submit the motion despite a trial date having already been set. I see a series of continuance requests until Judge Nelson puts her foot down.
Dave already responded beautifully to your obsession with DeeDee. Impugning her integrity or character is just petty.
[No one would ask for a break from your quality comments, nemerinys! If they did, they'd be barking up the wrong tree.]
Here's a little mystery that's been intriguing me and may be of interest to ya'll.
First, take a look at the
7-11 video (it's primed at the time when Trayvon enters the store).
Early in the NEN call the dispatcher asks Zimmerman if he could see what "the suspicious guy" was wearing, and Zimmerman responds, "Yeah, a dark hoodie, like a gray hoodie [...]"
Now, could you tell from the video, in which the scene was well lit, that Trayvon was specifically wearing a dark gray hoodie? I couldn't - to me, it just looked dark, maybe black or a dark blue; I wouldn't have thought of gray at all.
And the only thing I can think of as to how Zimmerman was able to discern the gray was (1) he observed Trayvon for longer than he indicated before making the call, and (2) he observed Trayvon under well-lit conditions.
Whaddya think?
[I don't know, but I think some of the areas were lit well enough to see, like near the gated entrance, perhaps. Under the mailbox kiosk for residents to be able to see their boxes at night. Zimmerman may have intimidated the boy, too, by flashing his headlights on and off, but that'a just a guess. I think there's a good possibility that he spotted Trayvon earlier, when he left for the 7-11. If so, he'll never admit it, and we'll never know.]
nemerinys - I have seen this mentioned before on some blogs. There is no way that George , from his truck on a dark rainy night could tell the difference between a black and dark hoodie. And if a person is thinking gang member or thug, I would bet that they would be much more likely to say it is a black hoodie. Its very interesting that George knows it is a dark grey !
[I also need to point out that darkness neutralizes colors. At night, a red hoodie would look grey. It is interesting to note that Z was quite clear about the color, though. Clearly, he was stalking Trayvon for some time.]
