    Please Discuss the Case Nicely

I woke up this morning with a fever. My Bones are aching like crazy, which comes with thromboctyopenia and chronic anemia. I have a fever that’s 4.5 degrees above normal. That’s AFTER taking Tramadol for pain. I am going to rest all day and try to stay warm. This hits me periodically, and I just have to wait it out.  Ironically, I see my endocrinologist tomorrow for blood work.

Dave: I didn't really know what to expect when I saw the title of your post, but it wasn't this.

My heart goes out to you. (I hope you had your flue shot.)

Keep a watch on that fever--it seems very high. I hope you are well enough to get to your doctor tomorrow.

Rest well. Peace and prayers. (H)

Dave, You are feeling really miserable. 103.1 That's high even for a child. Please relax and get back to normal right away!! If I wasn't two hundred miles from Florida, I'd bring some soup but you are in my thoughts and prayers. Always enjoy reading your posts!

While you are resting, I'd like to to tell you that I have had nothing but good to say about shopping here on Amazon.com and Buy.com.... takes awhile to search and find but there hasn't been anything I have needed that hasn't been available so far. Delivery time is within just a few days, some items may take longer. I especially like Buy.com but if I can't find what I want there, then the others. Looking to give E-Bay a try, still searching there. It's great saving on gas. I can shop in my slippers, NO IMPULSE buying just because it is there. This is where I save a LOT of dollars !!! So convenient and certainly has not cost any more than running here, there and everywhere.

I dislike tramadol. Dave, my thoughts are with you. Pain is yukky.

Sorry you're feeling so punky, Dave. Remember to keep your body hydrated. MY grand daughter just got over that achy, yucky flu. She ran a fever for 2 1/2 days before it finally broke.

BTW, I got to Alabama on the 16th of Sept. Was very ill. But, that's for another day. Today, you concentrate on Dave getting better and, I'll join in with the others with prayers for you to the Great Physician. Best Doctor I know. He specializes in every type of illness.

God bless you ~ GREAT BIG!

Please rest and then rest some more. When you're not resting drink water and low sugar juice. Can you get a friend to get you some instant breakfast mix or Ensure? I know it sounds selfish but we need you here.

    I'll keep you in prayer.

Dave, here's praying you get well soon. Here's an old tried and true home remedy for fevers. Ever heard the old folks say not to eat onions that have been left out because they have "fever" in them? As it turns out, onions pull viruses and germs from the air. An onion cut from the top, peeled, and placed on something that can be discarded (such as a paper plate), placed by the bedside, "catches" viruses and germs that cause fever. This prevents circulating them in the air and speeds recovery. The onion should turn yellow or brown pretty quickly and when it does, should be replaced with a fresh onion.

Xena~~I heard about the old fashioned onion cure and some people swear by it.

I recommend moonshine or brandy, good book and great pillows.

    November 19, 2012 | Unregistered Commentercali patti

@ cali patti. . ..LOL Boy, does that bring back memories. My grandmother used to make White Lightening, put it in Mason Jars, then, she'd bury them under her flowers in the yard. (Always wondered why her entire yard was flowers with.not one blade of lawn, anywhere. When she passed away, the family found several jars of the stuff and, many jars stuffed with money. My uncle even found her Citizenship papers.Anything and everything of value to her was buried.)

We kids dreaded having to stay with her when were home, sick during school. She'd force us to drink a "HOT-TODDY-FOR-THE-BODY" to break our fevers, which consisted of:

    1 mug of hot water
1 or 2 shots White Lightening
    2 or 3 whole cloves
    1 healthy squeeze of lemon
    Honey, to taste

Then, she'd tuck us into bed with heavy quilts, just before we fell into a deep sleep. When we woke, we'd be drenched, fever gone and ready for her homemade chicken soup with saltines.

That stuff was gawd=awful nasty! But, it sure worked.

I'll try to get Snoopy and Vicky in line Dave but I just don't do too well with keeping myself anywhere.

Let us know what the doctor has to say.....!

    November 19, 2012 | Unregistered CommenterNewbie

Dave~~Newbie wants Vicky to get her brother-in-law to fly both of them to Casselberry and put a big mustard plaster on your chest and give you a dose of castor oil. The plane can land on lake Irene...he has a sea plane..I did my best to talk them out of it but they would not listen. Padlock the doors, my friend!

Dave - Hope you're feeling better soon. So sorry to hear about your pain. Tramadol makes me sleep, so hopefully you'll be able to rest well.

I heard that Tony Pepitone has uncovered some evidence that points directly to Casey Anthony and the murder of Caylee. The Prosecution never knew about it at trial time. He's going to present it tomorrow night at 11 pm on the news - WKMG - down there in Florida. There'll be a promo about it tonight on the news. It will be interesting to see what he has to say.

Get well, Dave. "Gypsy Cold Care" tea works great and no hangover- lots of honey, 'cuz it's pretty unpalatable.

On Baby-Killing Skank- just think of all the Known evidence the jury never got to see, thanks to rulings, or the State not wanting to overwhelm silly jury with, let alone any detritus floating around where WKMG could find it...

Hey Karen C~~nice to see you.

I have a feeling it ends up being a picture on that lost cell phone of Casey’s. A before and after picture of Caylee that was meant for Cindy, I have always felt that phone was in the teddy bear that Cindy lugged around. Remember the jail call...."what do you mean you don't know what my involvement was?"

Get plenty of rest, Dave. At least Newbie didn't want to have my brother-in-law bring her and Snoopy fly down to tend to you. I hope you are on the mend soon.

Shade, my mother was old enough to be my Granny, but up until her death at age 101 a few years ago could out work most youngun's. Mom made rootbeer and beer plus bottled them in a pressure cooker.
One hot summer day she went into her "brew" room and came back completely shaken up. I still recall the look on her face. Bottles had exploded all around her in that small dark room. I believe that was the last batch she made.

    November 20, 2012 | Unregistered Commentercali patti

@Cali patti. . . .Oh, poor thing! She probably thought she'd been shot. Bet she had an old time Pressure Cooker. Those things were pretty dangerous, way back when. And, what a mess! My granny passed on @ the age of 99 - - one month to the day of her hundredth B-day. How cool to have lived so long and to have seen so many changes through the years. My Granny loved "the modern days".

Has anyone gotten an update on Dave, today?

Dave~~I hope you are having a better day. Keep us informed. In the meantime....

Let's face it, Casey is not going to go away yet... here is a short promo of Tony Pipitone's show which airs tonight at 11pm. Is it just more hype or did he uncover something substantial? Casey cannot be tried again for the murder.

I'm sleeping (napping?) most of the day. No medications yet, but I am weak and achy. Other than that, I'm fine. Thank you for your support and home remedies. I'm not hungry today, probably from the Tylenol 3s I took yesterday. I will do my best to be back tomorrow.

    Dave~~thanks.

A highly promoted local television report set to air this evening will center on Internet searches that authorities didn't know about during the high-profile trial of Casey Anthony, according to the lead prosecutor in the case.

Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick confirmed in an email to the Orlando Sentinel that someone used the Anthony family computer to search for "foolproof suffocation" on June 16, 2008, the day Casey Anthony's father said she left the family's home with Caylee for the last time.

In the notorious 31 days which followed, Anthony's parents repeatedly sought to see their granddaughter — and, authorities say, Casey Anthony repeatedly lied about her whereabouts.

Though computer searches were a key issue at Anthony's murder trial, the "foolproof suffocation" term never came up. Anthony's criminal defense attorney, Jose Baez, later wrote about the search in his book, "Presumed Guilty, Casey Anthony: The Inside Story."

Burdick wrote that the Orange County Sheriff's Office has confirmed "there was a computer search on 'foolproof suffocation' on 6-16-08 that they did not find." Burdick stressed that this information "is not 'new,'" as it was already published in Baez's book months ago.

@SnoopySleuth. "Xena~~I heard about the old fashioned onion cure and some people swear by it."

I do. Just last week I read an article about mushroom soup that was served in a senior citizen's home. The cook also became ill. Several died. Doctors treated one patient with Milk Thistle seeds and said the patient showed immediate improvement, but the FDA has not yet approved Milk thistle.

I've taken Milk thistle extract for years. It's a natural liver cleanser. It cleanses poisons, toxins, and fungus from the body.

I'm not opposed to prescription medications, but if there's something natural that helps the process of healing and staying healthy, I'm not opposed to that either.

I feel a little better today, although I'm not ready to run a marathon yet. Come to think of it, I've never been ready for that. This is a blood and platelet problem that hits me once in a while and I just have to let nature take its course. No specialists have been able to pinpoint the problem and all they tell me is that I'll have to live with it. I've been lucky because it's been quite a while since the last attack.

I'll try the onion trick sometime, but when I have a cold or flu. I did get my flu shot last month, though, so I should be good in that department. I do take milk thistle every day. 1,000 mg. With diabetes, I've got to do whatever I can to protect my organs.

Again, thank you everyone! After Thanksgiving, I'll be back to the Zimmerman case.
