Sanford Police Video of George Zimmerman

See it for yourself. Watch it again and again. It’s grainy, but you may get something out of it. Please share your thoughts. All opinions are welcome.

Dave~~there are no blood stains on the front of Zimmerman's sweat shirt. I listened to the 911 tapes again and, in my opinion, the voice screaming sounds young and coming from someone who is being chased by an assailant brandishing a gun. That voice is the sound of terror and not coming from someone who is being punched. When one eye witness said Zimmerman was on top of Trayvon straddling him, my opinion again, he was staging the scene to look like self defense.

I wonder if Sanford police took measurements out at the crime scene and followed through with gathering evidence as if this was a homicide. I have a strong feeling, they did not.

I don't really know who was doing the screaming, Snoopy, but wouldn't you think that if Trayvon had been on top of Zimmerman, the blast would have pushed him away and he would have fallen on his back and not his stomach? There are too many things that don't match up to Zimmerman's account of events. Who knows what the Sanford Police Department collected? Right now, I don't put much faith in them at all.

I don't see someone who is distraught, in pain, or with any indication of injury. There is no blood, rips, or tears on his clothing. I see a person of calm demeanor, relaxed, and making small talk with the Officers, not someone who is devastated that he just took a life.

I don't see it either, InTheGarden. If Trayvon was shot the way Zimmerman said, there would have been blood on his chest, too. I din't see any blood or evidence of a struggle at all on that video. Or anything emotional, for that matter.

Dave ~~one other thing, when I listened to the 911 tape, the gun shot did not sound like it was fired at real close range. If the gun had only been a few inches from Trayvon's chest, it would have made more of a hollow pop sound. It is hard for me to explain... the gun had a cracking sound ....I best shut up and get to bed huh?

That's interesting, Snoopy. I don't know what kind of sound it would make, but there are two obvious things we can say with certainty. The shot's sound would have been altered by the walls of the two opposing buildings (unlike in an open field) and most importantly, what we heard was an audio recording of a sound that came from a telephone microphone, which isn't the best way to listen to evidence of that nature. I just don't know what to make of it.

Why just USDA CHOICE??? Why not PRIME?

Food for thought: I don't have a big enough ego to appoint myself PRIME. PRIME has a very limited availability. CHOICE is everywhere. Also, PRIME has a higher fat content and I don't like to think of myself as being fat. You see, there's a method to my madness.

This is not a person who has fought for his life and been terribly beaten. Why have the local yokel Sanford PD done this TO THEMSELVES (covering up for Zimmerman)? It is becoming increasingly ludicrous. Imagine if we didn't have all this tape.

And, do these supporters of his not realize that every time they make a statement, "This happened to George, then this...", apparently giving his side as it were (none of them having actually BEEN THERE themselves), and doing it on camera yet, they are hardly serving his best legal interests?! His lawyer is the only one in the clear to make this kind of statement on his behalf, from what I can figure.

I agree with you, Karen, and I find it VERY odd that all of Zimmerman's compatriots are explaining the events as if they were right by his side, watching the whole thing. Why they trust him implicitly is beyond me. Do they think it's normal to carry a gun inside a gated community? Apparently so. Weird.

( Karen C~~here is an example of a family member trying to do damage control)

Zimmerman's brother, Robert Jr speaks out to Piers Morgan..

-- George Zimmerman's brother said medical records will prove that his brother was attacked and his nose was broken by Trayvon Martin before he fatally shot the teen.

Robert Zimmerman Jr. spoke to CNN's Piers Morgan Thursday night saying he wanted to correct some of the "mythology" and untruths that have been spread about the controversial shooting.

"We're confident the medical records are going to explain all of George's medical history," Zimmerman Jr. said. "His nose looks swollen in that video. I'm his brother."

    Video and Read more here

Whoop-di-doo. That's all I have to say about his brother. Broken nose? Medical records? From an EMT?

    March 30, 2012 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

The video had shown one of the police officers really looking over Zimmerman and he did not appear to find anything. Maybe it was to see if he had been cleaned up enough?

This broken nose thing is baffling, did he previously have a broken nose trying to pass it off as happening in this scene. The man had no business getting close enough to this big ole scary Trayvon to get beaten up, he should have run! after all the police were coming! So many questionable attempts to make Zimmerman the good guy. Possibly Zimmerman did not go out with any racial intent but as far as those people (who were not there) giving statements like Zimmerman accounts's's are all truth, it may be possible that they are taking their opportunity to vent their own racial feelings without actually uttering one. I know at least one is black but he and another man illustrated their thoughts as to how they felt Zimmerman had protected them.

That was interesting, New Puppy, because we couldn't see anything on the grainy video - the key word being grainy. It sure didn't look like blood the deputy was wiping, though.

That man had no right to approach Trayvon at all. He never introduced himself as a neighborhood watch person or anything else. He just asked him what he was doing there. I would have had an attitude to, like, who are you? You a cop? No? Then leave me alone. Twerp. BANG! End of story, so he thought. No, only the beginning of a major, major problem. They guy is toast, although I wish him no ill will.

    March 30, 2012 | Registered CommenterNew Puppy

Dave~~if that deputy was checking Zimmerman's head for blood or whatever, where are his rubber gloves?? You don't go messing around with someone else's blood or open wound without protection for yourself as well as them.

Well, Snoopy, we are dealing with the Sanford Police Department. But seriously, if it were blood, I would expect the officer to be wearing gloves. Maybe it was water. Anything other than that should have been off-limits.

I just love listening to Curtis Sliwa...He is rather sexy too...woot woot...

Sliwa says, "[Zimmerman] did nothing right except wake up early that day and begin to stalk people that, through his paranoia, he thought were looking to commit crime on his compound, a self-appointed watchman.

    Video and article here....

Curtis Sliwa: Zimmerman was 'mad dogging'

[I must say I agree with him.]

Dave~~now the residents of Sanford are being punished because of their ineffective police department. Why do innocent people have to suffer because of the decline in business. I am getting very disheartened over this whole case. Read this little excerpt...

Saturday, the Rev. Al Sharpton plans to call for economic sanctions at a massive rally in Sanford designed to push law officers into arresting Zimmerman.

Sharpton is using bullying tactics. It like vigilantism and forcing the hand. I find it disgusting. Why don't these people wait and let the appointed task force do their job? The task force is from out of town and not Sanford. Rev Al Sharpton can use words instead to get the message across.

    Here is the article....

Trayvon Martin: 'Sanford still deserves your business,' merchants say

BTW, I don't always put a lot of stock in polls but I did read tonight that the percentage of people who want Zimmerman arrested has been on the decline the past few days as more information is emerging.

[Many businesses have complained about a sharp decline in business right after the rally I attended. One is a German restaurant I like to go to on the main Sanford drag, 1st Street, wast of 17-92. Hollerbach's Willow Tree Café. Others are complaining. I do feel it's a combination of a few different causes, one of which is that people want to stay away from Sanford due to the unrest.

Personally, I don't think economic sanctions will do much more than what is already happening, and people are doing so for many reasons, such as the one I explained above. Yes, Sharpton is using bully tactics, but it's mostly rhetoric and he knows it. Yes, there is power in numbers, and it will have an impact, but it's mostly pressure on politicians than it is trying to shut businesses down, because even black businesses suffer. This is the sort of thing I grew up with, and having lived here for 31 years, I know that old prejudices die hard, and prejudice exists on both sides.]

    March 30, 2012 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

Dave~~it is hard to believe anything that the media puts out...

Jealous and Sharpton denied media reports that Sharpton planned to call for an economic boycott of Sanford or the surrounding central Florida area, calling it a “media fabrication.”

[Well, Snoopy, I've got to tell you I put those preachers and leaders in the same category as politicians. They know how to wag the dog. They are well seasoned at it. Some of the local business people - including blacks - were feeling the pinch as well. I'm telling you, people don't want to hang around a divided city. All people, regardless of the color of their skin.]

Dave~~this is a must watch... scroll down the page and you will see the entire confrontation between the two. It got real nasty and some comments by Touré about Piers being British were uncalled for.

Piers Morgan, Touré Brawl About Morgan's Interview With George Zimmerman Brother (VIDEO)

As much as I understand the frustration, Snoopy, it's people like Touré that do nothing to forward the cause. Bias is a two-way street, as he clearly showed.

    March 31, 2012 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

Dave~~ you should find that video I just posted very intriguing as it relates a lot to journalism and the way things should be reported, without bias. I have to agree with Piers on this one. I found Touré very immature. I hope that video stays up because I can't believe what I just watched.

In my opinion, all a person has to do is live amid the population to understand humanity. Prejudice is rampant everywhere. Just what is Piers not supposed to get? Are their no race issues in his native England?

One would think if there was a head injury from having the head slammed into concrete that that would require going to the hospital to make sure there is no concussion.

True, Sherry, but he said he turned down the request made by paramedics.

I can't remember where I heard it but I think Trayvon's mother might have it right in what may have happened to her son that night. Keeping in mind that Zimmerman said, "They always get away" and then hearing Trayvon's mom say that she believes her son was being held against his will and then shot as he was trying to get away (a struggle that may have caused the two to land on the ground, even with Trayvon on top) and Zimmerman shot him. Whether the gun was being fought over or not, I don't know. But those screams have me thinking it was Trayvon, not Zimmerman.

I agree that the screaming voice was not Zimmerman. In my new post, I explain what was said to the Orlando Sentinel about it. I also think mothers know best and Trayvon's mother knew what voice she heard crying for help.

    Tough prosecutor~

    http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/news/2012/03/31/tough-prosecutor-in-trayvon-martin-case/

    I like this, Sherry:

"She is a tough-minded prosecutor who is prepared, thorough and a very good advocate for the prosecution in the court," said Ann Finnell, a Jacksonville defense attorney who has faced off against Corey during a trial. Finnell also was on the legal team for Casey Anthony, the Orlando mother acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter.

UH and that is supposed to give us Comfort?

That she was on the Casey Anthony Case?

That is what gives me great cause for concern, that there will be some erroneous Machiavellian affair to assist the Sanford Police bad faith handling of this case - by a "blown" arbitrary & capricious prosecution.
