I am glad to see that Simon is doing his radio show again and that he invited you to be on the panel. I will definitely be listening. Thanks for letting us know.

My pleasure, Mary Jo. For some strange reason, I was compelled to make this announcement. Of course, it had nothing to do with the fact that I will be on the show.

Thank you, Janet. I hope you enjoy the broadcast!

Hi Dave thanks for the tweet about Simon's show, I am glad they are back! I tried to send you a DM but I guess you have to follow me before I can do that! New fangled #$*#!LOL later Dave.

I'm glad they're back, too, Pam2u4u. Hopefully, it will be a good show today. I just followed you on Twitter, if that's what you mean by DM. Thanks.

Dave. Thanks for letting me know when you put new posts up. I will try to listen to the show. By the way I like the way you answer people and respond. I think it makes a lot of sense for people to see your response under their comments. Thanks for your hard work

Hello Marsha! Everyone seems to like this form of responding to comments, so I think I'll stick with it. I may switch to italics because the bold is so, well, BOLD, but it's also easier to see that I've responded with a personal message.

I hope you can listen to the radio show today. There's a lot of ground to be made up, and plenty of Casey/Caylee stuff to discuss. Thank you for ALL you do, too, Marsha. And for truly appreciating my work.

Trust me, nan11, it is my pleasure to letting you know about the show. I'm glad it's back. Thank you, and join in on the chat on the link. Snoopy can tell you what to do if you have problems. The more, the merrier!

I listened to you all on Blogtalk Radio. Great discussion. You were breaking up pretty bad though Dave.

Keep up the good work. You are doing a splendid job covering this case.

Hi Yvette, I don't know what the problem was. The phone works fine most of the time.

Thank you for appreciating my work. I enjoy doing it, too. I'm glad you listened to the show today!

I really enjoyed the radio show up to the point of someone saying this was not about Caylee anymore, then I went ballistic. Thank you Dave and Snoopy for disputing that in a hurry. It is ALL about Caylee, she has not been forgotten for one minute. The feeling about defense team seems to be in the majority. I have my two grandchildren because I could not accept the status quo with them and I didn't care who got mad. I just knew I had to try to keep them safe. George and Cindy could have taken charge and little Caylee would be alive. They were too busy tiptoeing around Casey. Yes, it is all about Caylee.

Hi Margaret - Yes, this is all about Caylee and no one has forgotten her. Unfortunately, grandparents have zero rights in the state of Florida, and had George and Cindy tried to take Caylee away, they very easily could have landed in jail. Personally, I think they were afraid of Casey because she'd just explode at them, threaten to take her where they'd never see her again, and in the end, that's precisely what she did. How sad.

    March 13, 2011 | Registered Commentermargaret

Margaret, I wasn't very happy either when I heard them say it wasn't about Caylee anymore. The prosecution will make sure that it is all about Caylee when the trial starts. God knows that this defense team is trying to make it all about Casey and for everyone to forget about Caylee. That is not going to happen. There will be justice for Caylee.

    March 13, 2011 | Registered CommenterMary Jo

The parts of the radio show that I found distasteful was the way Peter et al were saying that they ALL used Caylee as a pawn, meaning all the Anthonys. I do not for one minute think that Cindy or George used Caylee as a pawn. I do believe that Casey did to get away with lying and stealing etc.

I was also taken aback that some of the panelists felt that we have forgotten Caylee. Dear God, those of us with sound mind and the state want justice for Caylee. We have to mention the monster's name who snuffed out that little girls life as we pour over the evidence and try and weigh it as armchair detectives.

In my opinion, and this may sound biased, Dave was the only one who sounded intelligent on that blog radio, besides Jan, who appears to be compassionate.

I wonder if some of those panelists would want someone peeking in their windows 24/7 and have their dignity stripped from their very bones. It is one thing to have book learning and read the rules but they should let a little common sense prevail.

For goodness sake Lee has a nervous laugh. Leave the guy alone as to his dress. This was a hearing not the trial.

Maybe that was a cross between a rant and a vent...but I do feel better having gotten it off my chest.

I didn't agree with that part, either, but I can understand how some may feel that way. However, it's ludicrous to think any of us have forgotten her. I think the gist of it was about how her family has forgotten her, but I don't buy into that one. I will explain a little more on that tomorrow. You are right, though, and George, Cindy and Lee are NOT on trial. Public opinion is not on their side, but it is Casey who stands trial, not them.

You're also right about compassion. There is none and that's a shame.

    March 13, 2011 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

    Hi

I agree with Snoopy that Dave was the best person on the Blog Radio show and sounded the most intelligent, probably because he is. I thought the others were also intelligent and reasonable, but Dave did the best on the Blog Radio Show. I am glad the Blog Radio show is back. It was interesting.

I still feel sorry for George, Cindy, and Lee. I also feel a little sorry for Casey because she made some very bad choices and does not seem to have the mental capacity to make better choices. However, I feel by far the sorriest for Caylee who didn't have a chance to make any choices. Something horrible seemed to spin out of control in that family. I don't think it makes any difference what poor Lee does or did. He could have been the best or worst possible uncle for Caylee in that situation but those who want to criticize him will find fault with everything he does or did. He is in the spot light and people are free to criticize. I would hate to walk a mile in any of the Anthony family shoes.

Thank you, Amber. I try to do my best. I'm very pleased the show is back up and running, too. I think we all did well. Simon has a way to keep everything on track and running smoothly.

I am going to write something today about a couple of things that have been lingering in my mind. George and Cindy will be part of it. Believe me, it's easy to throw stones at people. Why? I don't know, but cruelty seems to be part of the human psyche.

    Hi Dave,
Listened to Simon's radio station with you and others, Great interview by all. Casey is an ill-spirited person, that will do anything to get herself out of hot water. Very evil-minded. Only concern is about her - never about Caylee, also, to pay the grandparents back for whatever childhood she had. - bad or good. Surely, you will have some good feedback. Super job!

Hi simba! Thank you. All in all, it was a great show. As for Casey, personally, I think she is in her own little zone. She has a real talent for shutting people out of her life and, unfortunately, she seems to be incapable of caring for anyone else except for the moment. It's sad, and if she loses the case, she'll discard Baez like he was never there.

Thanks also Dave for turning me on to the talk radio..I caght 2/3's of it before company dropped in. Hated missing the last part..You indeed did a good job..As far as Caylee being forgotten, that will never happen..If not for her we would never have had the pleasure of meeting all these fine people.I do hope the Prosecution fills the courtroom with photos of that precious child with those big brown eyes and her mom is forced tolook at her. What a little beauty..

Been wanting to ask..Are you allowed to take a small voice recorder in the courtroom with you? May save your left hand a little..I know it has to get tired..But that is how i always spot you..With your head down and your lefty flying. Lol. Also, will Simon be on every Sunday now?

    Have a restful evening.

I neglected to stress in my comments above that Cobra deserves credit for his input in the radio show. Just listening to him, you can tell he knows quite a lot about the law. He certainly knew his stuff about Miranda rights yesterday. So to Cobra, Bravo!

I have just read Bill Schaeffer new blog article Dave. He seems to think that Judge Perry will deny defense motions except possibly the interrogation done at Universal in room. Hope he is right. He had high praises for Judge Perry. Dave will the radio program be on each week now?

Yup Timer 55 has kicked in for Casey what is it now 54 days till trial..?An Casey has a Birthday in a few days she can celebrate a qauter century 25 years on the planet 19th of March..On wich day timer 55 will stand at fifty days till trial.

    Ecossie~~you are a mathmatical genius, Matey !

Margaret, I also enjoyed reading Bill Sheaffer's new article. I am going to go Bill one better and say the Universal interview will stay. It will be interesting to see if Judge Perry will worry about the appeals issue so my prediction is a long shot. Mason told Perry, in so many words, that if his wishes were not granted, he intended to file more motions. I hope Judge Perry makes Cheney eat those words.

    March 15, 2011 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

    Hi Margaret, Ecossie and Snoopie,

I appreciated your comments about the trial and Bill Shaeffer's article. I can't believe that we are only two months away from the trial but I trust Eccossie's math skills much more than mine. I hope that Judge Perry leaves in most of the questioning. I realize that it is important to follow Miranda rules but wasn't that ruling to protect someone who was reasonably ignorant of his rights? These days how could any English speaking young American adult who grew up watching TV for the past ten years possibly be ignorant of his or her Miranda rights? How could anyone not know that telling constant lies to the police about things they could easily check would be a bad idea? Of course, it might not have looked much better if Casey invoked her Fifth Amendment Rights the minute the police entered the Anthony house after the 911 calls that day. I have a suspician that Casey lives in a dream world and it wouldn't have made any difference if the poilce read her any Miranda warnings because she can't distinguish between reality and her inner fiction world.

What a pleasant surprise it was to find Simon and Jan back on the air with you, Dave, as well as as with Peter and Cobra! It was a really good show, and each of you certainly served Caylee well, for which I thank you.

I have to admit though that I agree with Peter. Caylee was a novelty to that family. This isn't to say that I don't believe they loved her, for indeed they did, with the exception of Casey, just not enough to be her champions, now.

From my perspective now, having come to this place in time, near three years later, when no one of the Anthony's has yet risen up as a voice for Caylee, and for all of their attempts to excuse Casey, I tend to think they didn't love Caylee quite well enough. But of course, Lee may yet rise to the occassion, and she will yet know her champion.

I agree with what you said about Casey being so angry toward George and Cindy, and how this will affect the jury. One can assume that her attorneys will coach her, well before trial, so that she'll appear more woe-begotten, but it will be all for naught. George's testimony alone will have such a great impact that Casey's eyes will be flashing daggers at him, and far worse her mother for that 9/11 tape. Nothing can ever erase, "It smells like there's been dead body in the damned car!" and all of the evidences there are that support that fact.

Simon Birch's testimony will drive home the fact that there indeed was a dead body in the trunk of Casey's car, and how it was that George feared it might be Caylee. Remember, while Simon and George were walking up to the car, George was going on and on about an alive Casey and his concerns for Caylee. Upon arriving at the car and being smacked with the odor he knew so well (as described by him to LE) his fear was that there was a dead body in the trunk and that body was Caylee. He expressed this fear to Simon Birch (though I'm not certain that he mentioned Caylee's name)specifically, he mentioned this in an early police interview) who was able to comfort him by pointing to the trash bag - the trash bag that was so troubling to Birch that he couldn't sleep and as I recall went back for it or notified LE of it. This sets the stage for the clean up of the car once George and Cindy got it home.

Such evidence as this, and so much more, is enough to convince a jury of who killed Caylee. The prosecution, in my opinion, doesn't need any of the statements she made to LE from the time she was placed in the back of that patrol car to the time of her actual incarceration. In my opinion Judge Perry can throw it all out and it won't much matter. Her written statement will stand which well indicates that she's a bold faced liar. The 9/11 tape will stand. The testimonies of those such as Tony Lazarro will stand, and will indicate to a jury that Casey Marie Anthony wasn't the least bit concerned about her daughter, though she was well concerned about getting caught! Remember Tony's statements regarding the nightmare that caused her to break out in a sweat?

The defense will attempt to pass Casey off as a distraught mother victimized by the State, but it won't fly. When they get to the part about Casey being foolish for thinking she could conduct an investigation of her own out of fear for her little girl's safety, without LE involvment or her family's knowledge, the Prosection will bring forth such evidences as Casey and Tony snuggled all up at Blockbuster, renting movies, and Casey at Target having a hay day at Amy's expense, and of course Casey at Fusion.

This is the pretend world Casey lives in, believing Baez so capable of getting her off scott free that at any moment now she will be released. I can well imagine that in all of this hoopla over Miranda, Casey is more convinced than ever that she's going to walk away from all of this a free woman. She couldn't be more wrong. This case doesn't hang by such a thread that whether she was read her Miranda Rights is really going to matter. We mustn't forget, either, that one extra little witness who will be in the courtroom. Caylee, herself, in each little bone, in each little graphic, in each and every piece of material evidence there is, like that one strand of hair that bears a death band, or that Winnie the Pooh blanket that was missing from the ensemble in the house but was found at the grave site. The voice that will speaking louder than any, come trial, will be Caylee's.

Again, this is just my opinion; and again, welcome back to Blog Talk Radio! It has been sorely missed.

Yes, Feathers, everyone agrees the show was a pleasant surprise. I had a great time, too, and I look forward to doing it in the future. That's a very nice comment you wrote. It's sensitive and well thought out. Thank you. I enjoy your comments tremendously.

Dave, I was transfixed by Peter's (I think I got his name right) analysis of the Anthony family dynamics. What are your views on his view that Caley was primarily a pawn and fundamentally unloved? In any case he is a gifted speaker. Thanks for posting the link and good day to you!

Hi Rusty - Personally, I think Caylee was very much loved by her grandparents, but I do agree Casey used her like a pawn against them. Their problem was that they let Casey walk all over them. I think she was like walking on eggs. They had to tiptoe around her. She threw Caylee in their faces, meaning she threatened to never let them see her again, and she did it often. That's my take on it.

Thank you for commenting. I enjoy different opinions. Yes, Peter does sound good on the radio.

Hello everyone!!! Feathers, I enjoyed reading your post. You summed everything up nicely and I agree with you on all points. I just can't help but believe that the very qualified officers would make sure that every T was crossed and every I was dotted. She was lawyered up the next day, so I believe at some point everything was done the way it should have been. I think Casey considers Baez her family and savior right now. Her reaction to all the boyfriends and others testifying against her is going to be interesting. I wonder how long her allegience to Baez will last after the trial starts.

Hi Margaret! If Casey is convicted, I believe she will dump Baez like a hot potato. After sentencing, of course.
