Robyn Adams Interview, Part 1 | Part 2

    Thank you, Jonathan!

“I saw her eyes and they looked evil.”

    - Laura Buchanan (hearsay)

This is what Buchanan’s friend, Anne W. Pham, told OCSO Corporal Yuri Melich in a lengthy transcript released today. Dated October 10, 2010, she said  that she and Buchanan searched Blanchard Park in September 2008. Buchanan claims she saw Casey after her release from jail on bond. Pham also remembered Buchanan telling her that searches off Suburban Drive were called off because “the water levels are really high.”

Pham told Melich that Buchanan told her Jose Baez only called her one time. Later, she claimed Buchanan said, “After all this [CENSORED] that I’ve heard after I wrote that statement…I could care less what they do to her…You know? All I did was tell the truth. Did not mean I was on her side… I simply feel sorry for, for George and Cindy.”

Pham also told Melich that she found it a little odd that Buchanan “was so interested in being a part of, you know, being on CNN and, um, the Nancy Grace show or whatever.” She described her as being a sensationalist. Buchanan had told the defense that she searched the area off Suburban Drive where Caylee was found. This was contrary to what Tim Miller of TES told searchers; that the water level was too high and to leave it alone. So far, everyone else who searched the woods also said the precise spot was too flooded to look, and Buchanan may have changed her tune when the State Attorney’s Office questioned her in a deposition.

“We would signal to each other, talk to each other, through hand gestures.”

    - Robyn Adams

Adams figures prominently in today’s release in the form of audio recordings of a February 10, 2010 interview with an FDLE investigator. If you recall, she is the wife of a former Altamonte Springs police officer. In 2008, they were arrested after they were discovered to be operating a marajuana growing operation in Chuluota, a small community east of Orlando. Transcripts of her interviews were made public earlier. She was sentenced to 10 years inside a federal prison in Tallahassee.

In a series of recorded jail conversations between Adams and a friend, the friend asked her if she was still rooming with Casey and wondered how she was doing. Adams told her she didn’t seem good.

    From the Orlando Sentinel:

Adams said Anthony didn’t seem good.

“I’m praying for her every day,” she said.

The friend asked if Anthony is a basket case. “Pretty much,” Adams said.

The woman told Adams authorities found a body and believe it to be Caylee.

“I had a feeling that it might be, but nevertheless, it’s not my place to judge her,” Adams said.

“I’ve had a complete change of heart Mel since I’ve been here.”

In another conversation with her dad, Adams asked her father to pray for Anthony and her parents.

“They really need it,” Adams said.

Many of the released photos show shots taken from a helicopter over search areas after the toddler’s disappearance. Some of the other photos show TES ground searches.

A threatening phone call was made to Casey’s former friend, Amy Huizenga. Most of the call is inaudible.

“You need to listen and listen good,” a male voice threatens. “Those charges need to get dropped.” This was in reference to the check fraud charges she brought against Casey.

Dave, thanks for putting this post up. It is so much easier to go to one place that has all of this rather than having to go to different places. It is appreciated.

Thanks, Mary Jo, I'm diligently working on it.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

Thanks Dave ...Havent seen much yet..Seems the notebook Casey wrote a diary in was issued in 2004..So that rules out the 2003 date of writting..

    January 28, 2011 | Registered Commenterecossie possie

Great post Dave. It's great to be able to come here and get the reports all combined into one artilcle. Who do you think made the phone call to Amy? If I got a call like that there is no way I would drop charges. I imagine the OCSO has been able to figure it out just by checking the phone lines.
Hope all is well with you and your family.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterNika1

Hi, ecossie! I've been reading today. Lots of interesting literature. I'm going to try to do more research on that notebook. They haven't found the ink yet.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

Thanks, Nika1. There's more I can write, but I may just spread it out in separate posts. I remember hearing about the threatening phone call, but it was never determined who did it. It could have been a joker or something, and made from a pay phone somewhere. The family is doing much better, thank you. I hope all is well with you. I'll tell you, I like that area where you live. I might just take another trip one of these days.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

I t was from a pay phone in New York Dave.............

    January 28, 2011 | Registered Commenterecossie possie

Oh, that's right, ecossie. I had forgotten that. I doubt it was a joke then. Who would spend all that money on a pay phone? It was probably somebody's goon. No matter, it didn't work and Judge Strickland ended up being very kind to Casey with his verdicts. Thanks.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

I've been trouble getting some of the pdf files to load so I'm looking forward to your reports Dave :)
That Laura Buchanan is a piece of work ! She says she'll never search for a missing person again. Good riddance to that one !

Isn't Casey's good friend Zenaida supposed to be in NY? Maybe she called Amy? jk LOL How about the guy who placed ZG in NY?

    January 28, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterkatfish

I'm working on them, katfish. I have some ideas in mind. I can send you pdf files if you want. I need to send you my phone number anyway. If you tell me which ones you're having problems with, I might be able to help.

Buchanan is definitely a piece of work. I don't see her as helping anyone.

Hey, Snoopy just sent me all the links... Try them and see how they work. They're at the top of the post.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

I can't find any links in your post except the one for OS.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterSherry

I just put links up at the top, Sherry, compliments of Jonathan.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

Thanks Dave! So far these links are working. I'm laying in bed with my netbook reading. I may be trying to do too much at once. I haven't been signing in because I must have registered with my old e-mail so I can't have my password sent. I'll try on my regular computer before I ask you to send anything. I have my login saved there but it's too cold down there.....it's my turn to fill the woodbox for the fireplace. Lazy buns! I will fix my e-mail tomorrow. Thank you again!

    January 28, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterkatfish

Yes Dave the phone call to Amy coincided with the Anthonys trip to New York to film some tv apearance..Coincidence?

    January 28, 2011 | Registered Commenterecossie possie

My pleasure, katfish. I'm glad they're working for you. Tomorrow is a good day. I can also register another name if you want.

    Thanks, Dave!

    WHOA, ecossie possie! Very interesting!

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterSherry

That is a coincidence, ecossie. I wasn't aware of that. Hmmmmm...

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

Im not saying that Cindy or George made the call havent been able to listen to it as yet...However when they travelled to New Yoek all expences paid I assume..Did Lee travel with them or D Casey..I assume Mallory would be left at home to walk the dogs an feed the cat an dogs..An in New York you could pay some random street person to make a call for a few bucks who wouldnt remember anything about it later....

    January 28, 2011 | Registered Commenterecossie possie

Ecossie~~what would we do without your brilliant mind, matey?

Whoa, that Laura Buchanan came out smelling like a rose, in the beginning. I found her email exchange back and forth with NeJames a bit on the forward side. I am surprised that she got through her deposition without using the 'F' word. I thought Burdick may use that word on Brown, Buchanan's lawyer. He had no intentions of letting both Ashton and Burdick play tag with his client. I would like to read or hear her last deposition when she was given 'use immunity.' I have a feeling that both Buchanan and Moritimer Smith, PI, haven't heard the last of that forged TES document.

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

An embarrassment of Riches! Thank You, Dave! A whole week's worth to gnaw on- I can't believe some of this stuff! Was this phone call made during the time G&C were in NYC by any chance, I wonder...
Ecossie, you are right- you really can do that in NY, find a street person and there are still some pay phones around- huh.... I'm also wondering about DC as there doesn't seem to be much one get put past him...

    January 28, 2011 | Registered CommenterKaren C.

Hi Snoops Karen yes I remember reading that the call threatening Ammy to drop the theft / fraud chardges originated from New York..They even traced the call box...It was when George an Cindy were makeing a tv apearance on some show...In New York....I think the call box was in the times sq area...

    January 28, 2011 | Registered Commenterecossie possie

Ecossie, if the call was made from the call box, could the caller not put a cloth over the input on the phone to muffle and disguise the caller's voice. I remember a hankerchief used to work on the old style telephones. I would have sucked in some helium to change my voice. Thank goodness Amy did not get scared off. It does look suspicious that someone connected to the Anthony's may have made that call.

    January 29, 2011 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

Snoops suck some helium? Can you imagine Ammy reporting that call..I was threatened to drop the charges on Casey...Sounded like Alvin an the Chipmonks?

    January 29, 2011 | Registered Commenterecossie possie

It wasnt some random prank call .Only Ammys personal freinds would have her home phone number. And of course Caseys Defence team would need it to schedule the Depos they seem so hesitant to take from her....

    January 29, 2011 | Registered Commenterecossie possie

Ecossie, now I can't stop laughing. Squirrels and chipmunks are the same aren't they? Maybe it was the same dead chipmonks that crawled up underneath Casey's car. If they can crawl when they are dead, they can make long distance phone calls. Well I am burning the midnight oil while people are just starting their day in the UK. Nite nite across the Atlantic...

I just noticed your last comment....my gosh, you should be working as a detective. It had to be someone who knew Amy's number. Good thinking!

    January 29, 2011 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

Good Lord, just Good Lord. Bet it was Dom playing the Heavy, but he likes that too....

    January 29, 2011 | Registered CommenterKaren C.

I've been wrestling with pdf files on other news sites all day long, then come in here and Dave has them all lined up nicely and easy to open too.. grrrrrrr.

I didn't even look at Casey's journal because if its in her handwriting I'll get seasick reading it.A lot of this discovery was as usual repeats of past discovery. I was interested in good ole Laura's depo and what others had to say about her. It sounds like good ole Mort Smith has a lot to answer for in that faked TES document almost as much as Ms Buchanan does. She sounds like she's about as truthful as Casey in that you just don't know what's the truth and what isn't when you read her deposition. "Listening" to her lawyer during the deposition though was a real treat. THAT'S what Baez and company are supposed to sound like!

I only read one of the letters from Cindy to Casey and it was the one after the day she talked about the 911 calls and said she believed Caylee is still alive. All she talked about (besides animal feces that is) was how it was so great seeing Casey again and how good she looked and how they can look for Caylee after she gets out. Where was that woman when she was on the stand? Didn't she see the sneers Casey was giving her?! I don't think Casey looked directly at her mother once while she was up there, but her eyes told us what she really thinks of her mother!

I wish those ariel photos were labelled because it's hard to say where that area is. I only assumed it was around the school but can't place it in reference to where the baby was found.

Thanks for putting up all the links Dave. At least I can come back here when I want to refresh my memory. And thank you whoever set up all those links for Dave. It took a lot of work. I for one appreciate it.

I haven't had a chance to read all your articles of late, Dave. Just sort of recovering but still sick. I finally managed to get in here, and I hopefully will be writing more once I catch up to ya'll

I thought as a laugh I would post this little song that I thought someone could write the melody. Please noone take offence, it's only a creative outlet I have. HERE GOES:

    WHO’S SORRY FOR CASEY NOW

It smells like there’s a damned dead body in the car.

As Momma cried and wailed, the cops from afar.
It was Lee who was given the manly task
to question sister Casey with her lying mask.
“The baby was stolen by the precious Nanny,
    I can’t say a thing isn’t that uncanny.”?
So Momma came clean and accused her daughter of stealing
And that sent the LE and cops completely reeling.
There’s more to the story and we’re going to find out.
If it’s the last thing we do we’ll see what Casey’s about.
The cops were led to Paramount and the Apartments.
Casey’s lies continued as she goose chased the pavement.
The web was spinning so far out of control
The LE decided to bring her in for a further cajole.
She was cunning, she was cool, while she played with her hair.
The Detective used his standby tactics, his glare.
Casey only revealed" the baby is close, I can feel it you know"
While the LE was suspecting that Caylee was long ago.

    REFRAIN….
Yes, it smells like there’s a damned dead body in the car

As the media and paparazzi took wind of this huge story
George and Cindy were in action like movie star glory.
He with his hose and booming loud voice,
while Cindy pulled him back, she had no choice
While we stayed glued to the story something was brewing
A witness who read meters was relieving his Peter
Not once but twice, till the cops took to musing
Maybe we should go to the woods where he’s refusing
to change what he saw in those dark woods a looming.
Sure enough it was Caylee so close to her home
Casey never lied, she knew Caylee was alone.
In those dark cold woods lying like a bag of trash
No matter what she said she would never crash.

    REFRAIN
…..Yes, it smells like there’s a damned dead body in the car

She would never part her secret, she kept her promise
As her lies kept on mounting Casey sounded like a novice
She is now in a space where she can only retrace
her own lies and put them according to place
It’s over 3 years ago the world became a buzz
That Caylee wasn’t kidnapped she was dumped as it was
by her psycho Mother Casey seeking freedom for love.
As we wait for the trial of the century to begin
We are all aware of the multitude of sins
The Anthony’s have shared to their offspring, their kin.
Who’s ever at fault we will leave to the jury
As the mob would make mincemeat with all their fury.

    REFRAIN…
….Yes, it smells like there’s a damned dead body in the car.

I hope where ever Caylee is near or far
The jury hears your footsteps leaving Casey behind bars.
It won’t be long now before your prayers will be heard.
Because the evidence is clear, as you sit smiling brightly
Your day is coming nearer as your eyes become blurred
Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, that is the WORD

    REFRAIN….
…..Yes, it smells like a damned dead body in the car
…. Yes, it smells like a damned dead body in the car

    January 29, 2011 | Registered CommenterWeezie

    Very nice Weezy WTG....
I have always wondered why most people questioned Kronk. For me Caylees remains would be just about where he found them. If we look back at passion, quickie murders similar to this one the bodies are near where the perpertrater feels comfortable or the nearest vacant isolated area.
    I seems logical.

    January 29, 2011 | Unregistered Commentercali patti

Wow, Weezie! You're quite the poet. I like it! That took some work. I wasn't aware that you write by poetry like that. I'll tell you the tune that immediately came to mind - Dead Skunk (In The Middle Of The Road) by Loudon Wainwright III. Remember that one? It came out in 1972 and it was a great novelty song. Thank you for sharing that with us. I wish I could write a tune for it, but maybe someone else will. Meanwhile, by all means, YES, keep 'em coming!

    January 29, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

Dave~ I have just a quick question. Couldn't they take some of Casey's handwriting samples from high school and compare them to the diary? Then compare them to her written statement the night the police were finally called? I would imagine that your handwriting improves as you age. Maybe there is a difference. Just thinking out loud..... As much stuff as Cindy keeps for memories I would guess she has some hand written note or essay Casey wrote.

    January 29, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterTony

I don't know, Tony. If it's anything like my handwriting, it gets worse with age. I had to take penmanship courses in grade school, but by the time I was signing payroll checks, it looked nothing like it did back then. In my case, my writing varies depending on what I'm doing it for. Fast notes in the courtroom, for example, are sometimes hard for me to decipher, and I'm the one who wrote them. When signing a greeting card, I try to be very neat. One thing, I can always tell my own writing, whether it was 50 years ago or yesterday.

    January 29, 2011 | Registered CommenterDave Knechel

Tony~~I think it was established that Casey wrote in that Diary. The date she wrote it was being questioned. The diary appears to have pages torn out when you look closely at the binding in the center. Ecossie mentioned that those diaries were manufactured in 2004. Testing could not prove when exactly the ink was introduced on the market. A person's penmanship varies depending on what kind of writing implement they use but their overall handwriting remains the same with slight variations. Writing can also vary depending on one's mood. I really do not think that the diary will come into evidence at the trial. The words Casey used can be interpreted in various ways.

    January 29, 2011 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

Weezie~~kudos on that great song. Ahhh you are just another talented Canuck.

Dave~~if no one can read certain handwriting, I agree, you would certainly know that you were the man holding the quill when it was written. *Smack me I dare you,

Sorry I have not been around lately. Hope you and your family are doing well. Thanks for getting the links up there. I plan on spending some time reading them.

"Dead Skunk in the Middle of the Road"! YES! That was exactly what I thought of too- I didn't want to go first, though, dead body of little girl being a far grimmer reality. But yeah, it actually fits pretty well tune-wise to the words. Good to see you Weezie!

It's a pity that the experts can't work more with that ink, they do use it forensically all the time in malpractice suits and so on.

Weezie, great song! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Dave- a big TY on having this all here in an easy-to-deal-with format. These idiot Haters don't know what they're missing, not that half of them are interested in this case anymore at all. It's become tangential almost. At the end of the day, it really still is about a little girl who died too young and utterly unnecessarily. And a young, spoiled moron of a mom who I do not doubt truly rues the day she did this awful, awful thing.

How many of us have said- I would've taken that sweet little girl, I could have provided a home.... I know I did, and still do, when these horrible New Cases come along. I remember taking my niece to Disney down there, when she was all of four. By the end of that truly magical day I was thinking- I LOVE this child, God forbid anything happen to my dear sister and her husband, but I could take this baby on, all by myself, and be the better for it and do it right.

Good Lord, the pity of this whole thing. And the more I read the more flummoxed I get, trying to understand some of these people!

    January 29, 2011 | Registered CommenterKaren C.

Listened to the phone call to AH. Well, it's NOT George, sounds too mature for Lee, that leaves very few other options, really....
