Robyn Adams Interview, Part 1 | Part 2
Thank you, Jonathan!
“I saw her eyes and they looked evil.”
- Laura Buchanan (hearsay)
This is what Buchanan’s friend, Anne W. Pham, told OCSO Corporal Yuri Melich in a lengthy transcript released today. Dated October 10, 2010, she said that she and Buchanan searched Blanchard Park in September 2008. Buchanan claims she saw Casey after her release from jail on bond. Pham also remembered Buchanan telling her that searches off Suburban Drive were called off because “the water levels are really high.”
Pham told Melich that Buchanan told her Jose Baez only called her one time. Later, she claimed Buchanan said, “After all this [CENSORED] that I’ve heard after I wrote that statement…I could care less what they do to her…You know? All I did was tell the truth. Did not mean I was on her side… I simply feel sorry for, for George and Cindy.”
Pham also told Melich that she found it a little odd that Buchanan “was so interested in being a part of, you know, being on CNN and, um, the Nancy Grace show or whatever.” She described her as being a sensationalist. Buchanan had told the defense that she searched the area off Suburban Drive where Caylee was found. This was contrary to what Tim Miller of TES told searchers; that the water level was too high and to leave it alone. So far, everyone else who searched the woods also said the precise spot was too flooded to look, and Buchanan may have changed her tune when the State Attorney’s Office questioned her in a deposition.
“We would signal to each other, talk to each other, through hand gestures.”
- Robyn Adams
Adams figures prominently in today’s release in the form of audio recordings of a February 10, 2010 interview with an FDLE investigator. If you recall, she is the wife of a former Altamonte Springs police officer. In 2008, they were arrested after they were discovered to be operating a marajuana growing operation in Chuluota, a small community east of Orlando. Transcripts of her interviews were made public earlier. She was sentenced to 10 years inside a federal prison in Tallahassee.
In a series of recorded jail conversations between Adams and a friend, the friend asked her if she was still rooming with Casey and wondered how she was doing. Adams told her she didn’t seem good.
From the Orlando Sentinel:
Adams said Anthony didn’t seem good.
“I’m praying for her every day,” she said.
The friend asked if Anthony is a basket case. “Pretty much,” Adams said.
The woman told Adams authorities found a body and believe it to be Caylee.
“I had a feeling that it might be, but nevertheless, it’s not my place to judge her,” Adams said.
“I’ve had a complete change of heart Mel since I’ve been here.”
In another conversation with her dad, Adams asked her father to pray for Anthony and her parents.
“They really need it,” Adams said.
Many of the released photos show shots taken from a helicopter over search areas after the toddler’s disappearance. Some of the other photos show TES ground searches.
A threatening phone call was made to Casey’s former friend, Amy Huizenga. Most of the call is inaudible.
“You need to listen and listen good,” a male voice threatens. “Those charges need to get dropped.” This was in reference to the check fraud charges she brought against Casey.

Hey Snoop..the big grey things darting back and forth in the road are squirrels. Chipmunks are the small brown with stripes things that rummage through the leaves. Neither one smells(dead or alive) that bad, that much I know.
Interesting looking at the investigators discovery on LB..you'd think she was aware they would do this, and the results be public. I hope most sites have redacted the files, ecause much of the info just shouldn't be out there for all to see.
However, interesting how this 'law enforcement'. 'paralegal', and I forgot what else she clained to be actually sells condos...she's sellin' something alright!
Why does the property form for Brad Conway say "Tampering"? It has copies of motions and Joe Jordan and Laura Buchanan stuff. Does this mean that Conway was involved in this fiasco with those two?
Hi Dave & Sherry: Here is a link that may contain some answers for Sherry.
Brad Conway Interview
Thanks Nan11!~
Thank you for the link, nan11!
You are all most welcome; but, the true "thank you" should go to Muzik Man. He posted this to his Doc Stock page.
Sink your investigative teeth into Brad Conway interview Dave! Possible witness tampering may go back to JJ’s and LB’s conflicting statements and surreptitious interview recording that was sealed by Judge Strickland.

"With regret I am forced to resign as George and Cindy Anthonys attorney. The defense motion filed on August 9, 2010 contains allegations that are not in fact true. As an officer of the court I cannot stand idly by knowing allegations involving me have been misstated. I am now a witness to an innacurate legal pleading filed in our court system. As such, I cannot continue in good conscience as a legal representative. George and Cindy Anthony have done nothing improper, it is the failure of the defense to verify the facts alleged in their motion that forces my withdrawal. I will continue to support the Anthonys, will continue to attend hearings and the eventual trial and most importantly I will continue to search for the full truth regarding the killing of Caylee Marie Anthony."
I am definitely doing that, boxcarbob. That's why your comments were stuck in moderation. You have a membership. If you want, I can resend your info so your comments won't have to wait.
The brainwaves are churning...
Sounds great Dave....bypass moderation would be neat...sign me up!
I can feel ur investigating "neurotransmitters" vibrating from Florida up thru the Madrid Fault Line to the midwest. Richter scale of 9.9. right now, more after u put ur personal insight on the new discovery!
Keep up the good work!!
That's funny, Boxcarbob! I'm taking a very good look and reading between the lines, too. This should be interesting. Meanwhile... you will get an e-mail from Squarespace with your login name, screen name and password. Just keep in mind that we all, including me, have to sign in more often than we'd like because it only lasts about an hour. It's sort of an inconvenience, especially for me, but that's the way this site works. Anyway, I'm more than happy to do it. Thanks.
Are you sure that ain't a freight train, boxcar? : )lol
I get the impression that Baez/Mortimer is the one being investigated for witness tampering after having read Brad Conway's interview with LE. No wonder there were such fits thrown at NeJame's office when the defense team couldn't look through the documents by themselves! They may have wanted to plant a fake document! Okay, that's just a speculation on my part.
LMAO Sherry! ....Been in few train wrecks myself....Loud and thwarting........sounds like a head-on collision... com'in round the bend...like a deer caught in headlights! I hear the "whistle blow'in in more ways than one!
Sherry, I think you are on the right track when you say that the defense wanted to plant a fake document. I would think after reading Brad Conway's sworn statement that Baez should be in a little hot water for trying to get Brad to get that document from Laura Buchanan or TES for him. I guess Baez will do whatever he thinks he can to try and get Casey free, even if that means breaking the law. I am glad that Brad was ethical enough to withdraw as attorney for the Anthony's and was honest in his sworn statement.
After reading Brad Conways interveiw with L E...I M O his sayin he couldnt represent the Anthonys as he may now be a wittness,,,I dont think he was talking about being a witness in Caseys trial. But in an upcomeing tampering with evidence trial...............
Ecossie~~once again, I agree with you matey. I don't think that LE will sweep this one under the rug. We have Baez, Moritimer Smith and Laura Buchanan. I think the three of them will be charged, after the trial is over, for evidence tampering in a murder case. I am not sure what sentence would be passed out for that crime. Baez will be disbarred, Smith will lose his PI licence and hopefully Buchanan will get her mouth washed out and have to pay a hefty fine.
Box Car Bob, I thought those trains had cowcatchers, not deer catchers. Toot toot...railway crossing coming up.
Okay, there are no alligators where Caylee's remains were found, right? Laura Buchanan talks of stepping on an alligator's tail in that area by the fence. Hmmm?
When Cindy hauled Casey home from Tony's her very odorous car was in the garage. Lee said it smelled really, really bad. Did Casey ever make any comments on the smell of the car that night? I would think that if I were Cindy I would have said to Casey, 'This car smells like a dead body! This is not a dead squirrel. Smell that trunk. Start explaining!". If Casey just ignored the smell of the car then that also shows her guilt too.
Hi Dave: Here is another link from Muzik Man's docstok page that I thought you might be interested in. For some reason, I don't think these were released with the doc dump via the media--so, all thanks goes to Muzik Man.
Here is the link:Atorney Kelly Sims Interview
That's a very good question, Sherry. I have been in Florida almost 30 years (in April) and alligators are attracted to bodies of water, like lakes and rivers. That's not to say it wasn't possible for a gator to be there, but it was highly unlikely. Here was a woman from a state where no gators live and it didn't frighten her enough to run for the hills? Baloney. And she didn't warn anyone? Bull! Those woods are fenced in from the east and south. The only way a gator could have been in that location would have been to march in from Suburban Drive. Highly unlikely. I think that if I know about gators, so did the SAO when they interviewed her. During the school year, children walk by twice a day. Granted, it's on the other side of the street where there's a sidewalk, but no adults/parents would have put up with an alligator where children walk. Also, gators like to sun themselves during the day. I've seen them in water and along the banks of rivers and lakes. In my opinion, that just took more away from Buchanan's credibility.
That's a good thought, Patti O, but more importantly, why didn't the police question her about the smell that night? That would have been more important than Cindy or Lee. Did they? Not that I'm aware of.
Thank you nan11. That's something else to read today. This is getting more interesting as the days go by.
Brad Conway's depostition was interesting. If they didn't want to plant a fake document they could be setting Brad Conway up as the one who removed the document from the file before they even got there. That's the idea I got with all the fuss and todo about BC being able to access the documents but the defense couldn't. I agree with the "leaving them alone" with the documents. Baez just could have had that in mind and now it's all blown up in his face. I hope they don't just drop this after the trial is over.
Alligators. Having lived in SC for 20 years and now here in FL for the past 7 I can only think Laura Buchanan's interaction with an alligator was hilarious. 1. If the place wasn't underwater what was that alligator doing there to begin with? They stick pretty close to water and 2. In SC we had an 8ft alligator named George that the Fish and Wildlife people had to keep catching and taking back to where he belonged, because alligators like to sun themselves and George always picked the closest road to lay in. If there were alligators in there someone would have seen them on the road or beside it and called animal control especially if kids were around there. They also eat small pets in the neighborhood. So even the idea of her stepping on one is ludicrous to me.
Laura Buchanan is, like others, getting her 15 minutes of fame in this case. I have to wonder about people like her. She must be a very unhappy person in her own life, so she has to insert herself into others more famous. Mort Smith needs to be investigated himself thoroughly.
That interview was sad, Connie. I've lived here long enough to get used to them, but I'd still run the other way if I ran into one in the wild. For a young woman from Tenn/NJ to say otherwise, is a blatant lie. In my opinion, of course.
Laura Buchanan worked with wildlife rescue in Kentucky before moving to New Jersey. She claimed she was with LE in Kentucky and that was bull.
Gee, Dave. May I jump aboard in defense of LE? I agree that they didn’t discuss the smell with her that night; but, I think it was a matter of protocol.
Let’s remember that the first responders to Cindy’s call didn’t arrive there until around 10:00pm on the 15th of July. By then Cindy’s third call had been completed and recorded; but, these Officers had not heard it. They were dispatched for a stolen car (that had turned up) and someone stealing money. Oh, and yes, a “possible” missing child.
Now, let’s remember, even after the third call, all the Anthony’s were stating the nanny had kidnapped the child. Contrary to popular belief, LE did begin a massive search for a living missing child. I think it’s a question of priorities, but priorities closely governed by law, that since the child was reported alive and missing—they had to check this out first.
Mr. Baez brought up at the bond hearing that there had been a two hour gap between the time Y. Melich had been notified and the time he arrived at the Anthony’s. What was he doing? Well, it turns out he was listening to those three calls, and checking all kinds of facts. So, before he arrived, he had some background.
Also, let’s remember, that LE called Mr. Anthony to say they were picking up the car around 4:30pm on the 16th of July. (Right after Casey had been brought down to the police station.) So they were aware of it, even though their first priority had to be looking for a living Caylee. But, as soon as they had some facts to support their theories, Miss Casey was in jail on child neglect and she was not talking.
Can you imagine the ruckus that would have arisen had they started asking questions about the smell the minute they arrived? (I know I’m not being very clear here, but I think they have to show cause before they can start questioning someone. And they had a missing 34 month old baby—that hadn’t been seen since June 9th—they had to rule out that she wasn’t kidnapped and time was not in their favour.)
I think LE did an admirable job with this whole investigation.
I'm ducking, but you know I always enjoy reading your blog.
No need to duck, nan11. My point was that it wasn't Cindy's job to ask, although it may have come up at one point but not in a formal interview. I wasn't directly addressing LE in that regard, but only trying to say that if LE hadn't done it, why question Cindy and Lee? Besides, no matter what, Casey would have answered to everyone that the smell came from squirrels, which LE did address at a later date upon examination of the vehicle. I believe that once the subject of a missing toddler arose, that usurped everything else, including what Cindy and Lee suddenly became focused on. No longer was it anything else. No smell, just where Caylee was. Actually, I agree with you on LE. Everything shifted to finding the child, however, by the time LE had a chance to sleep on it, the next day they realized what they were, in all probability, facing. The smell was a dead giveaway, so to speak.
Great comments! So when I first started reading the interview with Brad, my first thought jeez Jose is LAZY! But holy chit where it ended up going I was not expecting. Now imo Casey is not worth losing a Bar License over. WTH is Jose thinking? His hands seem to be dirty, he cannot put this all on his shady P.I. again jmo. I would hope a thorough investigation will be done. This is not how a murder trial should go.
I'm going back to reading it, Tony, but I need to pick up a prescription for Zetia and I need to go to my clinic for it.
I actually do know someone who stepped on a gator, but it was at night and in the Glades somewheres. Bunch of teenage boys who thought it would be really cool to 'borrow" a VW van and runaway to FL so they could smoke weed and listen to music and scare the hell out of their parents for a few days. One had to pee in the middle of the night and did step on a gator thinking it was a log in the water. These kids were from Buffalo area, knew nothing about what they were doing, and after this kid almost had his foot chomped they packed up and headed North again. But LB wasn't searching there at night, now, was she? And surely she knew from gators? And what I do know of gators they want a decent-sized body of water and preferably a bank to lay out on....
This lady is just bizarre.
You know, Karen, I'm only an inch away from flat-out calling her a liar. I seem to remember when I first discussed shooting a video down there and someone asked me about being afraid of gators. I said then that it's not a place for them. And with a school down the street, it just ain't gonna happen. They don't hang around in brush or weeds because that would block their view. Plain and simple.
Dave, I remembered you being asked about gators there when I read about LB stepping on the tail of one. I said, no, Dave said that no gators would like that area for a habitat. Perhaps some kid's pet gator was let loose there, lol!
I'm glad you remember that, Sherry, because I Did say that. What's interesting is that I've been down there at least a dozen times and never saw one. She went there once and stepped on it. Highly improbable. Thanks.
Snoopy----Yes, it probably was those squirrels with their little greasy cheesy pizza paws making that phone call.
Weezie--Good poem!!!! I am going to google the dead skunk in the road lyrics---dont know that one. I was thinking maybe Dueling Banjos might be a good background. The Anthonys seem to fit that lifestyle---deranged and in a world of their own. Anyway enjoyed it immensely especially the Refrain! Havent had time to read much and some of the documents have audio I think---dont want to be listening to too much at work.
Dave,
not that your asking for my thoughts on LB and i have not medical degree to substantiate my claims, although i tend to play one in my dreams :-) I see LB as a lady whoes own life really isnt all that interesting coupled with the fact that her husband has a job in the legal realm but LB not so much. She volunteers for such places as the Fish and Game division as a rehibilitator and goes on Police ride alongs but she does that so that she remains interesting to her friends (possibly her husband) if i dare say.
well i wanted to say more but it is REALLY SNOWING HARD!!! and i am closing the office to go home. Dave, as always, love your work!!
LB is like most people, myself included, in that i want to be remembered for doing something great. Even better to be part of something great but what happened was what most of us would come to expect. We, as people, would like to be thought of as someone great but "we" dont go looking for it she was hell bent on finding something to give her some bragging rights (if you will) She can not accept that fact that she is not the person who found the body and the one who did is not other than a person who came upon it almost by dumbluck (it wasnt luck of course but you get my drift). So she will throw mud on Mr. Kronk all the while try to contrive a story that will take every ones focus back to her but what she doesnt account for is the paper trail, or lack thereof. She believes there is a common friendship and everyone is on the same side however those people were seriously there to find Caylee not for notoriety. In the end her words will make her infamous but it will put her in a negative lights.
So it is confirmed that Laura Buchanan has admitted to tampering with T E S records in her most recent Depo...This is why she apeared in person rather than do it via skype...My understanding is imunity is granted in Florida for incriminating statements.Only if the person is there in the flesh..Had she done this via skype then no use imunity is granted....I M O She has rolled over an done a deal...
Ecossie, the 'use immunity' only applies to Laura Buchanan's testimony. The forged TES document is considered evidence that is not attached to the testimony and the use immunity does not cover it. The use immunity covered her verbal testimony in the deposition and she cannot be charged for anything she divulged. She can be charged for placing her signature on a statement or falsifying a document. The statement and document are both tangible evidence and separate from her testimony.
Have I confused you yet??
You are right, you cannot get use immunity if you are deposed via Skype. Laura hired an attorney in Florida and travelled there to be deposed. This is not saying that she is free and clear from any charges that may be pending in the future.
Just a few thoughts relative to the comments being made:
Laura Buchanan must not have been packing her pistola when she stepped on that gators tail that day. She seems the type who would have wanted that trophy. (eyes rolling)
My impression of Baez bugging BC to look for TES documents with Laura B's name was to be certain the original or a copy wasn't there before "making adjustments".....If BC had contacted LB and got that doc from her, who do you think would be blamed if any tampering was ever alleged ?
That was really something that JB went behind BC's back with the Anthony's to create a document that rescinds their waiver of attorney client priviledge, the waiver they had previously signed with Mark Nejame when he resigned. Not hard to ponder why Baez might want Nejame muzzled. I wonder, what was Baez motive for bypassing BC? Did I miss something? That little manuever alone can get Baez in hot water with the Florida bar.
Casey made it clear in her penpal letters that she despises both BC and MN, they are the enemy.....wonder where she got that idea? hmmmm
No you didnt confuce me Snoops I knew all that. What I mean is if Laura Buchanan has done a deal behind closed doors. She could very well talk about conspireing with others to alter forge documents ect dureing her depo...Thing is even if she says Mort J Baez an Cindy presured me conspired with me to do this.Without proof her word is about as reliable as Caseys...
Well, Dave, sure looks like you can go right ahead and call LB a liar!

Casey Defense Witness Admits She Altered Doc
ORLANDO, Fla. -- A volunteer who once helped search for Caylee Anthony admitted in a newly released deposition that she changed a form she wasn't even supposed to have.
Laura Buchanan claimed she was a team leader who searched Suburban Drive in September 2008 but did not find anything.
Caylee Anthony's remains were found in the area three months later by meter reader Roy Kronk. Prosecutors claim the specific area was under water for several months before the discovery and could not be searched.
Buchanan signed a form swearing in her opinion that the remains were not there. Casey Anthony's defense team has made the notion a key part of its strategy that

Laura Buchanan's Email to Baez
Laura Buchanan was deposed by the state, Nov 18/10. You can watch the video here and catch a glimpse of Laura as she enters the state attorney's office to take her deposition. Kathi Belich was able to ask Laura's lawyer a couple of questions. Of course, you should never expect a straight answer from an attorney. During her deposition, Laura had to explain how she could be searching at Jay Blanchard Park and also out at Suburban Drive on Sept 03/08. She claimed she was searching out at Suburban with Joe Jordan. There is also a matter of a TES record that may have been falsified by Buchanan. Hopefully, we will get to read her deposition down the road. It should be interesting. Laura claimed to be formerly with LE in Kentucky and then moved to New Jersey. It was later learned that Laura was a volunteer for wildlife rescue. She joined the defense in the search for Caylee.

TES Document
Laura claimed to be an ex LE out of Kentucky. She now lives in New Jersey. I read somewhere that she was connected to fish. I googled the Dept of Fisheries, Kentucky and came up with the following. I will x out her phone numbers but they are displayed at the link.
LAURA BUCHANAN ABANDON CRITTERS
Work Phone: 859/484-xxxx Home Phone: 859/707-xxxx
Species MAMMALS
Laura Buchanan
Laura's name was listed under Nicholas and I checked and there is town and also a county in Kentucky with that name.
Just for your info.. I googled 'use immunity' and came up with the following for you...
use immunity - an exemption that displaces the privilege against self-incrimination; neither compelled testimony or any fruits of it can be used against the witness who therefore can no longer fear self-incrimination
Transactional and use immunity are granted to preserve the constitutional protection against self-incrimination. The states grant either form of this immunity, while the federal government grants only use immunity. A witness with use immunity may still be prosecuted, but only based on evidence not gathered from the protected testimony
Use immunity allows the state or federal government to prosecute a witness using evidence obtained independently of the witness's immunized testimony. The state or federal government is prohibited from derivative use of immunized testimony for the prosecution of the immunized witness. The state or federal government must prove that the evidence is based upon an independent and legitimate source in order to prosecute the immunized witness. The state or federal government has to prove that the evidence came from a legitimate source independent from the compelled testimony.
With my little uneducated brain, I will attempt to interpret the use immunity as it applies to Laura Buchanan thus: In order for Laura to be charged, the state and/or FBI has to prove Buchanan deliberately, without being forced or asked to falsify the TES document, did this solely on her own and in doing so, tampered with evidence to jeopardize the outcome of this case. The investigation in proving Laura did such a thing has to be done separately and in no way be a part of her sworn testimony in her deposition. Laura's attorney could see to it that she spilled enough in her depo to cover all aspects and protect her butt in doing so.
Now who in the world would ever come forward re info on Laura without implicating themselves?? It looks like the little alligator lady may be free and clear of any charges being laid against her but but but , can the state or FBI prove that someone working for the Baez Law firm did something unethical?

Casey Prosecutors Face Crucial Stumbling Block
State Must Prove Caylee Was Murdered
POSTED: 4:41 pm EST February 1, 2011
UPDATED: 5:28 pm EST February 1, 2011
One major issue keeps the case against Casey Anthony from being a slam dunk for prosecutors, a legal expert tells WESH 2 News. The state must still prove Caylee Anthony was murdered.
Thank you Snoopy for all of the info and to you Dave for the article.
I have been sick with the flu since Christmas, I think I am getting over it finally!
Hi Dave! Hope all is well!
I keep seeing media reports stating "The state must prove Caylee was murdered" Is this just media hype? Im no rocket scientist but the duct tape didnt fall on her little face...that to me screams that she was murdered...Whats your thoughts on why this cant simply be proven by the tape...I realize they have to prove that it was Casey that applied the tape but I dont get having to prove she was murdered...Thanks!
Dave thank u so much for all the inforamtaion and links .. it has been a while since i paid a wee visit but was so excited when i opened ur page!!! fantastic, it amazes me everytime to see the effort u out in , and it is so much appreciated, i am in shock at the length those other hmm mongrels have gone to try and stop wat u are doing .. it is insane .. and a lesser person wud have just given up for want of an easy time.. so i am delighted that you have stood ur ground and not given in to this kind of bullying tactics... keep strong and keep up the fantastic work.. i am delighted to have been able to join ur blogging family .. take care ... cinta :))) thanks again :))
Celeste, I hope you don't mind me jumping in here. The master is busy working on a new article.
"The state must prove Caylee was murdered." That almost sounds like a direct quote from Cheney Mason, Esq. I remember him saying before the cameras and microphones, they don't even know how she died.
Well we have three scenarios....Caylee was murdered; died accidently; died of natural causes.
The duct tape found wrapped around the skull is a crucial piece of evidence. I would say it takes priority over all the tangible evidence. It led Dr G to rule it a homicide by unknown means. She also said it was put on prior to decomposition, no doubt because it adhered so well and was still in tact when the skeletel remains were found. We cannot forget that there was also residue in the shape of a heart shape sticker. The residue of the sticker has yet to be thrown out as being evidentary.
Now if Caylee died accidently, I cannot see Casey spending all this time in jail and not taking a plea way back in the beginning. She would have been charged with aggrevated manslaughter.
Caylee dying of natural causes is out of the question. There would have been no reason for a cover up and lying on her mothers part.
The state has mostly circumstantial evidence but when it is a all linked together and presented to a jury, it will tell a story of how and why Caylee Marie was murdered.
In the meantime, Cheney Mason can go pound sand instead of trying to influence the media outlets.
Janet~~you are very welcome re the info I posted. Both you and Celeste seem to be concerned what the new outlets are saying. Just keep in mind that the state did not have to prove Laci was murdered to bring a verdict of guilty against Scott Peterson.
I am glad you are starting to feel better after your bout with the flu. My neighbor was a month before he got his energy back.
