    Two Years Later

I shot a new video of the site where Caylee was discovered on December 11, 2008. It’s hard to believe it was two years ago. I really wanted to get this published earlier, but it takes time to edit and upload to YouTube. I hope it’s worth the wait.

To be honest, Janet, I don't think the defense pays much attention to the McIntyre story. The bones clearly identified Caylee.

Thank you, Frankie. It is a privilege to be able to show you that area. As sad as it is, the more we know about it, the more we can formulate what actually happened to Caylee.

Anything is plausible, Patti, but after being charged with murder, and especially after the death penalty was added, why didn't she just open up and say what happened? She showed no remorse whatsoever, accident or not. She just shrugged her daughter's death off like an old bar rag and since her daughter's death, she still hasn't shown an ounce of emotion toward her loss. That alone shows that she doesn't care about human life; any life except her own.

My pleasure, Martha, although it is never pleasant when I visit that site. One thing about the location is that the street dead ends. In June, school is out and there's virtually no traffic east of where Hopespring stops at Suburban Drive. No houses on Suburban face east, so no one on that street would be able to see anything. The only house is perpendicular to the site. If someone was in the back yard, that person could have seen the car, but no one did, it seems. The present tenant told me the police were all over that house. She didn't live there when the body was discovered. Alas, it seems no one saw the body being dumped and we don't know what time of day it occurred. I'm going to see if I can dig up any more info on when the body was dumped. If I find anything out, I'll let you know.

Thanks. So far, my day is going well, but it is only 36 degrees here today. I'm not planning on spending much time outdoors.

Hi Dave - I'm back and have really enjoyed catching up on your last three posts. I am so glad Judge Perry has things moving along and really enjoyed the video. All the vegatation up here as well as all the flowers look so sad up here. What cold weather we are having!!!
I lost my cousin and very closest friend very unexpectantly and it really kind of threw me for a loop plus with all the changes in the Gator Nation it has really been eventful. But I am now ready to read your post and kept up to date with your first hand accounts. You are the best and thanks so much for keeping us so up to date.

Well, hello, Nika1 - I wondered where you were. I'm glad you're back in the sunshiny warmth of Florida. NOT!

Oh no, I'm so very sorry you lost your cousin and closest friend. How awful. You have my deepest condolences. We don't need to fret over the Gators, but sometime, I would like your take on the new coach, Will Muschamp.

By all means, please catch up and let me know what you think if you're up for it. I did miss you, but it saddens me to learn of your loss. Thank you again for all you've done for me.

Dave it seems your video has touched and revived a lot of us in our wish for justice for little Caylee. This is why your rivals try to make trouble for you. They know, as we all know, that what we are reading here is truth, its fairto both sides, even though it would be so easy to choose to rip into the defense only. Look at the amount of traffic you have had in the last two days, they are probably tring to figure out a way to get you for this. So Smile and know that you are so superior to them. Boxcarbob must have been reading my mind about the Cindy/ Casey saga, but I still can't wrap my head around Caseys attitude. I guess I just loved and honored my Mother more while I had her with me on this earth. Thanks again Dave for all of your hard work for us.

I really do appreciate your confidence in me, Margaret. I do try my best to be truthful and fair. Oh, I make mistakes at times, but I will readily admit it when I'm proven wrong. Thanks, You do give me a good reason to smile.

Nika1~~tender hugs my friend. Hang onto the memories and take time to mourn your friend. When you lose someone unexpectedly, it is way more difficult than, if you were prepared for that loss.

Bob Kealing has a coat on so those temps in Orlando are cool... here is a bit of news from today's hearing...

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Judge Belvin Perry granted Casey Anthony's defense more investigative hours at a Tuesday afternoon hearing.

Anthony defense attorney Jose Baez requested 300 additional hours, saying that that the hours that had already been granted by Perry had been exhausted.

Anthony was declared indigent in March, so a state agency now doles out money for her defense. That means costs such as investigative hours, which can reimbursed up to $40 per hour, must be approved by Perry.

Baez filed a similar motion in October. Perry only granted a portion of the hours Baez requested at that time.

In the latest request, Baez told Perry during Wednesday's hearing that the additional hours were needed to interview around 110 of the state's witnesses.

Baez said that the interviews needed to be conducted for the defense to do its due diligence in defending Anthony. He told Perry he did not believe these witnesses would need to be deposed.

Perry pointed out that since the murder charge Anthony faces could carry capitol punishment, he agreed that additional hours would not be excessive and he said that he wants the case to progress toward a May trial date.

I am having minor surgery today - call it a medical procedure - so I will be gone for most of the afternoon. Nothing major, I just want anyone stuck in moderation to know.

Dave, It was so nice to hear your actual voice on this recording. I have read s many of your post, hearing your voice was great! You have a very nice voice! This is a wonderful tribute to Caylee, and very helpful for those of us that want to see where exactly she was located. Suprised me that she was not real far off the road! I thought she was found farther back then that tree! Kinda seems like Casey got out and Threw that bag, huh? From all my reading I never would have guess she was founf that close to the road. Thanks for the video Dave!

    BoxcarBob,
WOW! Amazing and yes. The taker and caretaker were in a battle using the pawn for leverage against one another. UUUGGGHH! So twisted and tangled are the dynamics of this family. Thankyou for this writeup. And yes, "Oh what a tangled web we weave".

Dave- I gotta second on Camsmom's comment- seriously, you have a first-rate voice and ought to be doing radio. I don't have one, although through some training it's better than what it was, and I really envy those who do- it's a happy gift, like a facility for languages, that should be taken advantage of by those who possess it. Every time I encounter someone in the Real who has a "voice" and they're not in media somehow using it I can't help but thing Dang- what a waste that is. I've known actors who had a Voice that carried them along despite not having much actual stage talent. Many of them relied upon voice-over work, and that's available anywhere. Do you know this about yourself, has anyone in media there told you this yet? I've listened to enough of your recorded voice to be pretty sure of my assessment here...

Thank you, Camsmom. I used to dream about going into radio, but at some point in life, I chose a different path. Writing is now my forte and I can produce videos on the side, so I still can dabble in it.

The police record shows that Caylee's skull was found 87 feet from the light pole near the privacy fence, and 19 feet, 8 inches due south from the edge of the curb, so that places the skull at the base of that tree. At the time, flora covered the base of that tree, so the person had to go into the woods from a different location. Straight down in was impossible, in other words. It could have been the same way Kronk went in, from an opening between trees and kudzu.

Seriously, Karen? Me? In radio? No one in media has told me I should be in radio, although it was a dream at one point. Believe it or not, I can sing, too, but I am in no hurry to make a recording of myself other than when I shoot those videos. I think it's nice that you like my speaking voice, but I also think it's best if I just stick to writing and the occasional video. If someone offered me a speaking gig, I'd take it, but no one has yet. Meanwhile, I'm content with what I'm doing, between writing and graphic design. Thank you. At least I know my videos aren't all that bad. That's encouraging.
