Jan & Dean? No, Jan & Simon

Simon & Jan Barrett’s ever popular radio show continues on the Internet airwaves today. The topic du jour?

    Casey Anthony - Killer Mother?

Please tune in at 4:00 PM EST.

The regular panel (including moi) will be back to discuss the events in the case that happened this week. Judge Perry seemed happy to hand the rope out, but also to establish some very clear ground rules.

Thanks for the reminder. I will be there listening. It should be a good show.

Thanks, Mary Jo! I hope you're right.

Great job on Simon's show today, Dave!

    <B>You think???

    Time to eat!

Dave, I hope that I didn't overdo with the prompting. It is hard to keep up with the chat, especially with some of the font too small to read and it goes so fast. If I ever confuse things, just let me know. I will have no problem with it.

Everything was as fine as frog fuzz, Snoopy. I think the whole thing, including the chat, went well.

Dave, if you are on next Sunday, this fuzzy frog will be napping on a lily pad and just listening. The show today was not as good as last week. Peter seemed very quiet and not his usual talkative self. Cobra should take his show on the road. There are those who will pay to get a few laughs. Dave you did good today and I say that in all sincerity. If you didn't do well, I would be the first to tell you. That is one of my many talents that makes everyone love me ...NOT. Simon did ask some good questions. Denny is one of my favorites. He is knowledgeable while holding his humor intact and displays it just enough as to not offend or take away from the seriousness of the topic being discussed. God love Jan, she deserves red roses and chocolates. She keeps her cool surrounded by an all male panel. She also takes the Anthony case serious. Jan has her heart in the right place and it is so evident when she makes a rare comment.

How do you like that review? That goes to show you that I am NOT a fuzzy frog but an old warty toad.

Good show Dave. Missed original had to listen to recorded version, so I missed the chat. I always enjoy reading that. As usual you were the most fair and unbiased.

Listened to the show Dave ...I see Cobra is still stuck on his chlorine an urine = Chloroform theory even Baez wont go there,,As there was no chlorine used in there pool ..Plus diepers trap fluids in a gell ..Cant you put him straight ?You had a good phone conection this week...

Margaret, I made an a** of myself on the chat today and will be the first to admit it. The reason I know that is because I was getting on my own nerves. Or maybe it was Cobra getting me frustrated. Anyhoo, I am going to be just a listener next time. I will just post a review after the show. I will make like Hedda Hopper, the Hollywood gossip columnist.

Ecossie~~I think Cobra only looks straight ahead and never glances sideways. His mind never goes in idle long enough to look at all the facts such as the no chlorine in the pool. Urine does not leak out of pull up diapers.

Snoops the only accident I can see surounding this case.Is the car crash of a defence .I feel like a rubber necker watching it unravell..

    April 3, 2011 | Registered Commenterecossie possie

Ecossie, I am keeping my guard up. We have no idea who will make up the jury. Even tho they are supposed to believe in the death penalty, they may be swayed by certain evidence that could cause them to form a doubt. My gosh, we have a few bloggers who are absolutely positive, 100% that Casey is innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt. I often wonder if a PI under an alias is managing one blog. The PI seems to make it a mission to doubt every piece of evidence the state has.

Hi Dave, Enjoyed the show yesterday! I was interested listening to the discussion about Cindy. I'd wondered if she had or how she had cleaned car, and what cleaners Cindy might have used. Oh and thanks for posting the mag. article about Judge Perry. Man,, that was an excellent read. There was so much info, I think it was great timing especially after that motion made by the DT accusing him of bias.

Snoopy, there's another Casey-is-innocent blog out there I'd be more inclined to think that of- but maybe that's a law student!

Snoopy please don't stop the chat. I really enjoy that too, well except for one or two that only want to cofuse the issue. It wasn't you, because Cobra got on my nerves too. He seems to have a one track mind and the stuff about the sex, that sounds a little doubtful . If it doesn't get a new trial, who cares. I am sorry I missed chat, but my son came in and I cooked dinner for him. Please don't stop. Dave needs you there too.

Did anyone else happen to notice the court reporter last Friday? Was she glancing at the
Defense side.....sure looked like it. She seemed to smile and sorta be flurtatious with their side
and didn't appear too do that when the Prosecution was up-to-bat. Hope I'm not the only one to
notice this. It bothers me......she should not be making any kinds of faces......what do you all
    think???

I doubt it. Those court reporters are highly trained, very efficient and detail oriented. They must concentrate on their work because it is so intensive. One mistake can alter the course of a trial. The ones I've spoken to outside of a courtroom setting have told me they must remain neutral. There's no time to take sides, nor is there a desire to do so.

I think she was looking at a deputy or the camera man who is situated on that side of the court room. I don't think a professional Court Reporter would put themselves in the position to appear biased towards either side. It wouldn't be tolerated. JMO.

I did notice the different expressions on the court steno's face. I doubt if she could concentrate on typing all those long scientific words and be flirtatious too. It must have been frustrating for the steno trying to keep up with the fast pace especially with the poor telephone hookup when Logan was on there. It appeared the steno was looking in the direction of Cheney Mason. I doubt if she was that hard up if she wanted to flirt. Now if she was making eyes at Dave, she is guilty as charged.

    She WAS cute, you know.
