Merry Christmas from Marinade Dave
Friday, December 23, 2011 at 11:24PM
This video is a combination of my work and cakefilm out of The Netherlands. The scenes of the hunter are cake’s work. The music and build-up after the final shot are my work. And the credits, of course. My friend Frank Foran sent it to me and I couldn’t resist.

Jeepers Creepers Dave, Surprise ending! Guess Santa won't be coming after all.
Poor Santa. Well, we can try to have a nice holiday. Marry Christmas, New Puppy!
Have a safe an Happy Christmas an Newyear everyone.
Thank you, ecossie, and a very Happy Christmas and New Year to you, too!
Dave, Santa was HERE a couple days ago! :-) Left me a present too! Very nice Santa, he is!
Happy Christmas and New Year to you and all the peoples.
Imagine that, New Puppy! Santa works in mysterious ways. Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, Dave, Ecossie, New Puppy and all the Marinaders. To the dude who knocked off Santa's reindeer, I hope he gets a load of buck shot in his arse and not a piece of cherry cheese cake.
Merry Christmas, Snoopy! Fortunately for Santa, his reindeer cannot die. They've been doing the same job year after year for thousands of years.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Geez Dave, lucky Santa rides a surf board down here. That's as bad as shooting Bambi's mother.
Merry Christmas, Tiffany. After I saw that video, I just couldn't resist. In real life, I don't even own a gun, nor would I, but also in real life, Santa's reindeer don't exist.
Tiffany ~~sit back and relax with an egg nog. This is just for you. Merry Christmas, friend.
Fall Softly Snow
Thank you Snoopy, that is a much nicer video. Hope your day is blessed and filled with happiness. And Dave, I hope you don't snatch toys out of kiddies hands for an encore lol.
No, I wouldn't snatch toys out of kiddies hands. Their parent's on the other hand...
Dave Knechel~~I will have you know that Santa and his reindeer do exist. I believe in Jolly Ole St Nick. Maybe he doesn't come to you and that is why you don't know him. Or maybe, it is because he doesn't come to little stinkers. How many pieces of coal do you have in your collection now? ...let's see...a one, a two, a three,.... that sounds like Lawrence Welk doesn't it... a fifty-seven, a fifty eight, and Surprise. Guess what you are getting in the toe of your sock tomorrow??
You are also going to have a million kiddies knocking on your front door to prove you wrong.
Santa is real and so are his reindeer. Here is the proof...

SNOOPY! I'll have you know that, when I was 13-years-old, the Easter Bunny told me Santa Claus was a farce! Now, with my pragmatic mind, could it have been over jealousy that the Easter Bunny told me that? I guess it's possible, but I was told that on the 4th of July, and Uncle Sam backed Mr. Bunny up. If you would like to open an investigation, be my guest, but bear in mind, I hold no malice against Mr. Claus if, in fact, he does exist. Thank you.
Knechel~~it has been said that you took down a judge. Now leave Santa and his reindeer alone!! Just an hour to December 25th.... ha ha ha I get first encounter with St Nick and the things I am going to tell him about a certain blogger. You can be sure he will never call you up to the North Pole to tell you how unbiased you are... not when I get finished speaking with him. I just hope he doesn't have a French accent after visiting Quebec. I get all tingly just waiting for the jolly ole man...
Dave~~are we going to be able to comment on Aliahna Lemmon. I have already been researching it and have some info to share. I realize it is Christmas but this little girl may not have one. I can start a post at my blog or carry on here...let me know, okay. TIA.
Snoopy - I moved the MISSING poster to a post, so you can leave comments. I don't expect any action today because of Christmas. If you decide to put a post up on your blog, I'll link my new one to yours.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Ner ne ner ne ner ner! Snoopy proved Santa IS real. I bet you make it onto Santa's naughty list now Dave. Don't know what you'll do for the day with no toys to play with. Maybe sit there and pull the wings off the tooth fairy. <poking tongue out at you>
All I've gotten over the past 20 years are bags of coal, Tiffany. And the last time the tooth fairy dropped by, she left a rattlesnake under my pillow. Sad but true.
Oh well, at least my mother loves me.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! [I know it's over in Australia, but it still sounds good... 'tis the season.]
Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope it's a magical day for all.
When I first saw this video posted, I went straight to the comments without viewing it just because a strange feeling overcame me. There was New Puppy's comment, and I knew I had made the right decision. I still haven't viewed it and most likely won't.....because even at my age, I'm a huge believer in Santa!! More like the "magic" of Santa, really, but that magic is a big part of what makes Christmas special for me. Santa and his reindeer are synonymous, you can't have one without the other. So the mere thought that something happened to any or Olive, the other reindeer, ;) , well, I just can't go there.
I had an alcoholic aunt who decided one summer to tell me, at 6 yo, and her newly adopted 5 yo son, that there was no Santa. Just out of the blue, or out of the bottle, for no apparent reason. We were crushed, especially my new cousin, who had just lost his parents and was stripped away from his 5 brothers and sisters. I mean, how much hurt could this little guy take? Luckily, my mom reinstilled our belief in Santa, and I will never let go. Santa and his reindeer are magical in so may ways and for many reasons. You just have to believe!
Merry Christmas, Lindy! I'm sorry for what your aunt did to you at such an early age. The video is a studio rendition, so the players, including the reindeer, we're paid scale to act in it. My point is, those reindeer made a lot of money playing Santa's transporter. All of the money made was donated to a home for aged reindeer. Those poor reindeer got the help they needed to keep them well fed and warm throughout the year. We should really thank them and give them a big round of applause for what they did in service to their fellow deer. And they are not members of any union.
Dave~~ Santa told me to give you a message when he visted me last nite and it was, "Ho Ho Ho."
It is hard to believe that three years have passed since I made my very first comment on your blog. It was on Dec 25th, 2008. There you were propped up in a hospital bed with your laptop trying to fight off pneumonia. My life has never been the same since and I expect yours hasn't been either. I realized after a few short visits to your blog that you probably couldn't survive without me so count your blessings. Oh it took a lot of perseverence, on my part, to hang out with you and still does but I am and was up for a good challenge. Not only did you survive the pneumonia, you got me in the bargain. Now how lucky can a man get!!
I am just going to ask a small favor of you and that is, "leave Santa and his reindeer to hell alone or you will encounter the wrath of the Snoop." That is not just an idle threat, it is a promise. Now judging by where that gun toting dude (probably an atheist) originated from, I can see why the odds of airing that video are stacked against him and you.
Oh, by the way, "Happy Anniversary" and "Merry Christmas." The Snoop
Love and Best Wishes to Dottie, Sam, Maggie & Bud...
Blessings to you at Christmas, and a Healthy and happy New Year.
Merry Christmas Dave! Bags of coal would have kept you toasty warm. We couldn't afford a fire when I was little so on the coldest of days Grandpa would suck a peppermint and we'd all sit around his tongue. The tooth fairy doesn't bring anything near as exotic as rattlesnakes here. And there's no way our Deer are allowed to belong to a union. Australia is so third world compared to your country. God bless America!
Hi there!!!
We had an unusually HOT Christmas day...in the 80s F...I had to turn on the A/C I was so uncomfortable....
Now today is different...I turned off A/C last night and today so far have turned off both fans...the ceiling fan and
the oscillating floor fan...I'm comfortable...
I had a grand Christmas...Daughters gave me a much needed microwave oven...My old one still worked, but not properly...
It had a mind of it's own and was sorta like my cat...I also received a nightgown, pjs, footie slipper socks, a neat diffuser light
(from my son and his girl), enough cookies to give me cavities (if I didn't have false teeth) a fleece throw and a shawl thingy to keep me warm...
if it ever gets cold...Which, by the way the weatherman says is just around the bend...Rain tomorrow then cooler...
Local daughter had to work so grandson and I went out to eat...Most places were closed so he decided on IHOP...
He ordered a hamburger, which was so bad he said he wished we had gone to McDonalds...
I had eggs and beef tips which came with hashbrown potatoes and two pancakes...Not ones usual Christmas Dinner,
I told grandson he should have ordered breakfast items...
All in all I must say it was different...
Oh...and the sweater I have been working on for daughter is still not finished...sooo.... I handed her a skein of yarn ...
Told her I loved her very much, and no, she couldn't keep the yarn as I needed it to finish her Christmas present...
She was surprised and said "how nice, you're making me an afgan"...I just smiled...Boy will she be surprised...
Just wanted you to know I had a good Christmas and after all, it's all about the presence and not the presents...
God Bless you and be with you Always...

Hi, Estee - I'm not feeling well at all today, but it sounds like you had a great Christmas. Yesterday, I felt fine and went to my sister's for the day. We ate outside, too, and insects were not a problem.
To be honest, I would never order meat, other than bacon, at an IHOP. Definitely not a burger. Pancakes? Of course, but that's a given. Your beef tips dinner doesn't sound all that bad, either, but I still think I'd want to stick with breafast fare. I agree with you, it was different.
I think that making your daughter a sweater is a very nice thing to do. There's nothing better than recieving a handmade item as a gift. It's a keepsake, for one thing, and it's from the heart.
Thank you for sharing your day with us. That's very kind of you and it shows how much you care about your family and close enough to us to share. Thank you for that, Estee. You have a very warm heart and it's much appreciated.
Estee~~God love ya! It is so nice to see someone so down to earth and normal. Reading your comments warmed my heart. If you ever break your dentures, I have a spare set. LOL
Hey All, and Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.! Nice to see everyone has kept their sense of humor
intact.
Wonderful to take some days off of work- been busy on the phone with nieces, nephews, and sibs but got to see "War Horse"- marvelous movie, and Santa got me a Kindle Touch 3g so am VERY happy with Santa.
I have a question for everyone- Sibs and I chipping in to get a laptop for my thoroughly Luddite parents, something Mom can use at the kitchen table and living room, and will actually USE (as opposed to the old pc we got them many Christmases ago now- she has a hard time with the chair in that room) and there's no huge rush as my brother will drive there from CT to set it all up for them (wireless, new printer, and such)- we figured we'd wait for even bigger sales post-Holiday and pre-Inventory and get them more 'puter for the buck.
It occurs to me to reach out and ask this Group of ours- any suggestions for a super User-Friendly laptop with big keys, not too heavy? I've been looking at various Toshibas, others suggest Apple netbook things, links are flying back and forth between all us sibs and my head is spinning! I thought this quest would be fairly easy but there's almost too much out there... Help! And Word-Of-Mouth (or keyboard!) is always best....
Thank you, Karen! I hope your Christmas was a happy one. You cqn take it to the bank that I will never lose my sense of humor no matter what.
I want to see War Horse, too. Anything by Spielberg is going to be realistic, and it does look like a wonderful movie. No doubt, a Kindle is a very good tablet, but my iPad 2 has spoiled me. You should really enjoy yours.
You came to the right place for laptop suggestions. First off, what kind of money are you talking about? Am I right in assuming that it doesn't have to be a powerhouse? Does she have Wi Fi? That's somthing to set up on the old computer and that way, she could walk around the house and remain online - with NO wired connection! That's one of the main points of having a laptop. I will say that Apples will be a lot more expensive than Windows PCs. Also, the keyboards are more flush with the surface, so they don't pop out so far. Do you know the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit? I know several sites that sell computers at good prices, but I need to know more about what fits your mother's needs. If you want to call me to talk about it, you can most certainly do that. Send me an e-mail and I'll give you my private number. Anyway, good luck, and for sure, there are plenty of laptop literate people around here.
Oh, Dave, thanks for the response. I've been at work, and then this horrible, horrible case (which only got WORSE every time I checked), and here I am late to provide info.
We're all chipping in- so $600-800- they have dial up but my brother is driving from CT to set them up with Time-Warner wireless (here in Upstate SC too, so transferring will not present a problem). I know Apple more BUT I'm thinking that their non-Ipad products will get a lot more reasonable price-wise soon. And Nope, they don't game! So there's a lot they don't need right there. A wireless printer will be important, as I'll be sending them links to MLS listings down here (our 3rd year of house-hunting for them- don't get me started)...
I have to get to bed like right now but I'll take you up on the email tomorrow, and I'll give you a ring at some point after. Thanks!
