    Another One Bites The Dust

"With regret, I am forced to resign as George and Cindy Anthony's attorney. The defense motion filed on Aug. 9, 2010, contains allegations that are not, in fact, true. As an officer of the court, I cannot stand idly by knowing allegations involving me have been misstated. I am now a witness to an inaccurate legal pleading filed in our court system. As such, I cannot continue in good conscience as a legal representative. George and Cindy Anthony have done nothing improper, it is the failure of the defense to verify the facts alleged in their motion that forces my withdrawal. I will continue to support the Anthonys, will continue to attend hearings and the eventual trial, and most importantly, I will continue to search for the full truth regarding the killing of Caylee Marie Anthony."

    - Brad Conway wrote in his  letter of resignation

George and Cindy Anthony's attorney, Brad Conway, will no longer represent them. The move is a result of a motion filed by Jose Baez & Company in the never ending dispute with Texas EquuSearch.

First reported on the WESH-TV Web site, Conway appeared on the NBC Today Show to make his announcement. Regrettably, he said, he had to withdraw as the attorney for Casey's parents. On the network program, he claimed that the defense made false claims and he denied that he was granted full access to TES files. There were several misrepresentations, he added. He said he was given the same treatment as Baez and Cheney Mason regarding the roughly 4,000 pages of documents from TES volunteer searchers. Now, he feels he may be called as a witness for the defense

Brad Conway has been a good friend and trusted counsel to George and Cindy. I've had several talks with him and he's an all-around good guy. I understand the defense fighting for their client, but this is one more glitch in the case. This team of attorneys has taken out one of the best judges in the Ninth Circuit Court, and now, Brad Conway. Believe me, I know precisely how they sting.

There is much bad blood between the defense and Mark Nejame. To try to put things in some sort of perspective, New York City is big enough to handle lots of high-powered attorneys. Orlando is not. While Jose Baez is way out of their league, Cheney Mason and Mark NeJame are, next to John Morgan, two of the most powerful attorneys in this citified town we call Orlando. I am beginning to think there isn't enough room for both of them, and neither one is going to budge. Shades of Tombstone, this one may turn out to be a verbal gunfight in the courtroom. Call it the O'Casey Corral. Unfortunately, Brad Conway just got caught in the crossfire, and the bullets haven't even begun to fly yet. Who's next?

Nan, that's the interview I watched earlier. The link doesn't appear to be working though. Dave? Snoopy?

Feathers, The Anthony's and this defense are heartless...At times, not many I felt sympathy for the grandparents, but nothing ever seemed right about their actions. As a grandmother myself, I thought they are or must be going through pure tradgedy, but from the start they made this more about protecting Casey, and Cindy didn't give a 2nd. thought about implicating anyone and everyone to shift blame...They may have loved Caylee but not in the way normal grandparents love their grandchild. They forgot about Caylee very quickly. People say people all mourn differsntly but they were out scheming and lying from the start, not mourning Caylee at all. :( Cindy is actually making it easy to convict Casey because you can see right through her lies, and it shows Casey came from a very cold and deceitful family, I actually believe now growing up in that household with Cindy made Casey into a sociopath which led Casey to become "so cold" she murdered her own child. Cindy's mission is to place reasonable doubt out there, but people see through Cindy and see her real intentions and she is helping convict Casey with the deciet.

What web site is the interview from? I can try and link it here if nan11 can't.

Okay, I will try to post that link...

    Extended Interview-Tim MIller

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

The link is working fine and it is certainly worth watching. Nan11, I am not sure what is happening when you try and post it. Strange your links work at my blog.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

Feathers: Sorry, I'm not having any luck with links. Maybe Snoopy will come and help. (I thought I had figured this out at Snoop's blog, but apparently not.)

    August 17, 2010 | Registered Commenternan11

Snoop: Thank you. I just saw your comment now. It seems to be just one of those days. I'll take a little rest and try later.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered Commenternan11

Thank you for the link to the Tim Miller interview. I've just watched it. It's amazing as you read all these things about Cindy and watch the interviews, etc. and somehow one still thinks that there must still be some bit of decency in her ... and then you listen to Tim Miller and realize just how far she is prepared to go to save Casey. Someone needs to shake some sense into her because she has failed Caylee big time.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterPepper

Thanks Snoopy for bringing that interview of Tim Miller over here. I am not surprised by anything he said. $108,000.00 dollars TES spent on Caylee who had already been murdered by Casey, so sad. Tim Miller does not have anything good to say about the Anthony's, but then that is not a surprise, not too many people do.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterPeggy222

Cindy's mail fraud, will she share a jail cell with Casey?

    Mail Fraud: Cindy Anthony Letter

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterPeggy222

Thanks for the link to Tim Miller's interview. He is exactly correct, too much attention has been placed on irrelevant issues. The bottom line is that all evicence points to the fact that Casey Anthony murdered her child. Nothing that has occurred since the day Caylee died can change that basic fact. Since Casey refuses to confess, the prosecution will focus on the forensics. The Anthony's and the defense team are fully aware of the strength of that evidence and will do anything they can to divert attention away from it.
Funny thing, they are doing a darn good job, look at what we are discussing. LOL

Peggy, thanks for the link to Cindy's mail fraud letter. That was quite interesting to read. I think he was spot on with what he had to say.

WOW, Snoopy, that interview with Tim Miller! This is one disgusted fellow- what surprised me was his characterization of Brad Conway's leaving, it didn't sound like him merely speculating away, did it? He spouts off but he proceeds to back his statements, and what he had to say about all that is really intriguing. Well worth checking out, Folks, if you haven't already done so...

The Blago jury's deadlocked on 23 counts!!!!????

    August 17, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterKaren C.

As I said on the other thread, Cindy/the defense wants to go after Tim Miller, eh? The Anthonys must want to be the most hated family in America.

I like what Tim Miller said about the Anthonys and I paraphrase: They didn't ask for the grief of the murder of their grandchild but they are choosing the grief they are getting now.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterSherry

I just heard another tragic story from S. Carolina. :( A mother who had been fighting with her own mother smothered her 2 toddlers, then pushed her car into a river to make it look like an accident. Her 2 toddlers died. They say the grandmother was fighting with her daughter re: the children telling her she was not a good mother and not taking care of them properly, the young mother decided she would just kill the kids. Very tragic, very sad. We will never know the exact truth but wasn't it said Cindy was doing the same to Casey...and many belive Casey also snapped. What is going on in this world, so horrible.

    August 17, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBarbara

Sherry, Tim Miller is right on with his comment about choosing grief. I feel so bad for Tim. He doesn't deserve to be treated like that.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterMary Jo

I was blown away by the interview with Tim Miller..He simply tells it like it is..So sad that they have been allowed to harm him and the good he does for others. And he is soo right when he said it's now all about the Anthonys and no longer about Caylee. Their biggest concern now is which TV show to appear on next...I keep praying George will grow a back bone and pull out of all of the role playing.

I agree with Tim..Hopefully no other attorney will take them on..But greed usually wins.

    August 17, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterGlenda

I noticed when the analysis was done on Cindy's mail fraud letter Cindy said that she cried when Jose gave her Casey's gray slacks and white blouse. She said Casey was wearing those clothes and it was the last time she was able to give Casey a hug (14/10/08). It just so happened that Casey wore a white blouse and BLACK slacks that day, the day she was taken in for Murder one. Cindy washed the GRAY slacks of Casey's on July 15/08.

I had already mentioned the above on Dave's old blog after reading Cindy's letter. I am surprised the analyst did not pick up on this but I guess he just deals with interpreting words.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

I found that was one of the best interviews with Tim Miller. He has every reason to be bitter. I hope you all had an opportunity to listen to the voice message that Cindy left Tim. Cindy was so afraid that Tim would search for a deceased Caylee and donations would go to TES instead of her foundation. Lee sent out emails saying that donations would be better utilized going to Cindy's foundation rather than TES. It was all a money racket and Cindy needed an 'alive' Caylee.

When Cindy wrote her emails to Mark NeJames and Brad, she cc'd them to Baez, therefore breaking the attorney/client privalege with Brad Conway. Cindy has done alot of damage in this case. She was leading Brad around on a leash. To Cindy, Brad was someone who had legal power as an attorney and she needed him to do her bidding. Thank God he made his exit.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

Barbara, that mother from S. Carolina has another child that she left with her mother at home. I can't remember how old the other child was. Why did she kill just two of the three? Don't get me wrong, I am upset that dhe did kill the two, but think of this other child that was left and how she is going to have to remember the rest of her life that her mother killed her siblings and left her to live.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterMary Jo

Mary Jo~~I believe the child left is a five year old girl. The mother is being charged with two counts of first degree murder.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

You know, for selfish reasons, being that Cindy Anthony sickens me, I hope she gets arrested and charged with something! Anything! Just get her off the streets! Everyone who comes in contact with her gets destroyed. Heck! 25 families needing Tim's services were touched by her. How awful!

    August 17, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterSherry

Snoopy, the age of the other of the other child you stated sounds right. I feel for her and the life she has a head of her. I am sure that the grandmother feels terrible too. She probably had no idea her daughter was capable of doing what she did.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterMary Jo

I'm sorry guys! It's the beginning of another school year and I had an IEP to do, that just got done. 7 pages, dadgum! Everything's in there but the kitchen sink!

Anyway, I watched Tim's interview on 39, and was so distressed to hear him speak of all the trouble he had with the Anthonys. I don't think he meant it when he said he wouldn't be going to Florida anymore. The children, especially, would draw him, I would think.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterFeathers

You and me both, Sherry. The sooner the better. I can't stomach watching her, and I'm losing hope with George.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterFeathers

Thing is, the Anthony's need an attorney. Sooner or later they're going to be charged with something. Hey, maybe Baez can take them over once he's booted off Casey's defense. lol

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterFeathers

MaryJo, I didn't know she had an older child too, how sad...

    August 17, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBarbara

Thanks for the links to Tim Miller's interview and to the "autopsy" of Cindy's letter! Very interesting to hear Tim Miller speak so forcefully about the B.S. that the Anthony's have dished out from the very beginning of this saga. Tim is perfectly right about protecting his volunteer's personal information from the likes of skags such as Baez and company.
And the interrpretation of Cindy's comments in her "mail fraud" letter is very telling.....it is patently obvious that Casey learned well from her mother's knee.
I am also a little curious as to what type of medication Cindy is on for her to be able to tame that "Rabid Doberman" personality of hers.
This blog is great and all of the posts here are so full of information! Thankss to all who post here!

I've been keeping up with the new story about Shaquan Duley. They said she confessed and did not express any remorse.
It reminds everyone of Susan Smith. When she made her statements, I immediately knew she was lying.
But at least, when confronted with the evidence, they did confess...

    August 17, 2010 | Registered Commentercereusle

cereusle~~apparently Duley took the little boys to a motel and smothered them with her hand. She then strapped them in their car seats and pushed the car down the ramp and into the water. One little five yr old daughter is left to mourn her brothers and wonder where her mother went. . Her life will never be the same. Sometimes I hate to turn on the news channel.

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

I know, Snoopysleuth. It's sick and tragic. What I'm most bothered about is the total lack of emotion. And the senselessness of it all. She could have dumped them at mom's and split. Same with Casey and so many others. Just leave them with family and don't come back. This option should just NEVER occur to anyone. Ever!

    August 17, 2010 | Registered Commentercereusle

Snoopysleuth, I agree. It is so sad. There doesn't seem to be a week that goes by that news of another child's death isn't reported.
I wonder if all the media attention doesn't give those sick and twisted people ideas for how to act upon their need for revenge or whatever it is that drives them.

    August 17, 2010 | Unregistered Commentersempre invictus

What's really ironic as well as tragic, she wanted her "freedom" back (per sherriff). Yup. And thus she's seen her last day of it...

    August 17, 2010 | Registered CommenterKaren C.

It's a shame the way some of these mothers think that raising children is something you can get out of just by killing their kids. And then they come up with these stupid stories thinking that the public and law enforcement people are going to swallow their carp. And to kill them because they "want their freedom back??!!". Well, I bet Susan Smith would rethink her decision over again! Freedom is the last thing they will get.

I've got a freelance job I'm working on. I'm also working on a post about Tim Miller, but I won't be able to get back to it for a couple of hours, at least.

There are so many murdered children cases, now, that it's near overwhelming. I sometimes wonder if the numbers aren't on the rise, or if thanks to the internet, we're all just more aware.

Last night I was thinking about Haleigh and Kyron, and how neither might ever be found. Will we always remember? Or will we forget, so needing to be reminded? The mere thought of forgetting just one, saddens me so.

Once again I'm off and about, but wish you all a truly wonderful day. I'll be anxiously awaiting your post on Tim, Dave. He so well deserves much recognition.

    August 18, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterFeathers

Don't know quite where to put this one but regarding the new Misty "revelation" about the bag, if Cousin Joe had gone there to the trailer that night looking for a long gun to steal from Ron, carrying an appropriate-sized bag would make sense....
Now, would Haleigh have "screamed" for 5 minutes (or whatever?) and not been heard at all by her brother or anyone else nearby?

Oh Crap! I gotta go back to work already and haven't read all the comments yet.
Thank you justmythoughts? and Snoopy for bringing that 39 online interview of Tim Miller to us.
WOW I have never heard anyone speak outloud to the media about Casey putting lil Caylee in those woods AND when she did it! It was as if Tim was speaking for the general public.OMG and Bravo for him saying it like he sees it.
Now, WHO is going to tell Cindy to "shut up" and "not comment"...like she would listen anyway. I imagine she will be getting offers to make a 'rebuttal' so to speak, regarding TM's accusations. Geez, the circus has come to town again, I believe.

Peggy, Happy Birthday Leo! (Mine was the 16th) Best wishes kid!

stpetesmj, you gotta love Tim. He's so selfless and what he does is so important. He certainly gets no pleasure out of it, I'm sure. You can see that on his face. His pay off is peace of mind, I would imagine, in being able to help others.

I'd have posted last night, but dozed off reading the analysis of Cindy's letter to Casey. I'll have to go back and read it all again.

Happy birthday Peggy! Gift's in the mail, if my love isn't enough! To you to, stpetesmj! I stopped having birthdays about five years ago now. Got tired of getting Black and Decker power tools that I could never find to use. LOL But true.

I'm going back to read Cindy's letter again. Be back in a bit.

    August 18, 2010 | Registered CommenterFeathers

Before I read further, tell me something about this letter - is Cindy trying to convince Casey that she doesn't believe Casey killed Caylee? Could Casey honestly believe that she's pulled the wool over the eyes of her parents?

    August 18, 2010 | Registered CommenterFeathers

Nope. Nobody's home, yet. Maybe later.

    August 18, 2010 | Registered CommenterFeathers

Happy Birthday, peggy and stpetesmj! Insert balloons and rose bouquets images here for each of you! Where's the cake and punch?

I can't help but think that Cindy was passing defense strategy hints to Casey in those letters-especially the "mail fraud" one.

I just watched the extended interview with Tim Miller....Wow...I sympathize with Mr. Miller...C&G have really put him through the ringer...Got to give the man credit, he's got their number and miinces no words calling a spade a spade...I hope he does get on the stand and lays it on the line...Can't wait to hear it...I too will be glad when the Fat Lady sings...

    August 18, 2010 | Registered CommenterEstee

Happy belated birthday stpetesmj! I watched the Tim Miller video and you can see how passionate he was about trying to find Caylee. I give him a lot of credit for doing that interview and telling the truth on what happened. I can't wait for him to testify in this trial. The Anthony family didn't deserve to have a man like him and his search team look for Caylee, especially after the way that they have treated him. He is a good man and doesn't deserve the lies they are telling about him and the way that they are treating him. You can see the pain in his face with what this case has done to him. I do believe that Cindy, George and Lee have been in cover up mode from the very beginning. I don't know how they can live with themselves when they are trying to pin this murder on other innocent people. I believe that they know Casey is the person who murdered Caylee.
