Thank you, Mary Jo. So will I.

I found the show really good today, Dave.

Yeah, I thought it was a good show, too. Manny was a great addition.

It was a great show today! I hope your voice gets better soon. Where does Cobra come up with all of these weird scenarios? I liked the new addition of Manny on the panel.

Thanks, Mary Jo. I thought so, too. Manny was a great addition, but I agree with you. Cindy had nothing to do with the death of Caylee. I'll stick with what LE is saying.

Dave, Manny was an excellent addition. It was an honor to have an attorney aboard. I am glad that he spoke up and defended himself when he said he raised his two children as a single parent. There are quite a few Mr Mom's out there who are doing the same thing. As to Cobra, I don't even pay attention to his rants now.

I'm hoping Manny becomes an integral part of the show, Snoopy. It's great having an attorney on board.

Have not listened yet but will later...Dave I thought I saw you at jury selection yesterday...I mean saw you on the screen...Where you there?

Hi ecossie - I have not attended jury selection in Clearwater. At this juncture, I can watch it live on the Internet and gather enough information as I need. As important as this part of the trial is, I just don't feel it's necessary to be there; not with all the meds I'd have to drag along. Lantus and Byetta need to kept in a refrigerator, and I'd have to get a room with one.

It was a good show Dave. There did not seem to be any problems in chat but if there were, I did not see them. I do not think that we will ever find out how Caylee died. We all have our theories and I am sure there is some truth in there some where. The only one that knows what happened is Casy and I am sure she will never admit that she murdered her daughter.

I thought so, too, Peggy. All in all, there were no problems in chat as far as I know. Nope, Casey will never admit to anything. That's one truth in this trial.

Ecossie, that was a cute bald guy at the jury selection, definitely not Dave. How's the weather in jolly ole England, Matey?

    May 15, 2011 | Registered CommenterSnoopySleuth

Snoopy, I agree with you about Cobra, he has some wild theories out there. I will never believe that Cindy had anything to do with the murder of Caylee. I think she acerbated the situation with her and Casey. I believe that Casey could not stand that Cindy loved Caylee so much and that she was in the way of her mothers love for her. Casey is one sick ticket.

Dave, if you are still communicating with me, I have some links and more transcribed video. It is about that African Amercan woman. OM doesn't accept links in html. Where would you like me to post it for your readers??

Any links you have, Snoopy, please post them here. On OM, people will have to copy the link and paste it in their address bar.

Peggy222~~there is no way that Cindy or George would have harmed a hair on Caylee's head. They loved that child like she was their very own. Unfortunately, Casey felt they loved Caylee more than her.

Peggy, Casey also strikes me as a person who could kill again. Cindy and George may have very well been her next victims. A psychopath will mow down anyone or anything in their pursuit for, it has to be all about me. I read up quite a bit on narcissism and Casey fits that bill to a T right down to the promiscuity. They have no conscience and only display emotion when it concerns them. They can also manipulate others and have them believing their sob stories. I expect Ann Finnell has heard many from Casey.

That sounds like Casey Snoopy. I think had I been in her circle of friends I would have noticed that she was not playing with a full deck. I guess when you do drugs and drink a lot it clouds over what you may think a person is or is not. There had to be some of her so called friends that knew she lied, did not work and stole money from someone. They could not have been all that naive about her. I am sure she mentioned that her and Cindy fought a lot. I wonder if she ever said anything about Caylee in a very negatatve way to anyone. The only thing I have ever heard her say was she called her "a snot nosed kid". There has to be someone out there that wondered what her feelings were about Cindy and Caylee. Is Casey smart enough to keep this all to herself, maybe not smart but very evil.

I put this together for you. It is interesting. I'm ashamed to say that the first link is from Wikipedia. What can I say--I guess I need to dumb things down a bit for myself (and only for myself.)

Anyway, for what it's worth. The second link is for the video where this all occurred.

    Batson v. Kentucky

Juror 1319, African American Female/Keeps to herself/plays Farmville on Facebook.

    Starts at about 11:20 minutes:

Judge Perry: What says the state as to Juror #1319. The juror is outside of the presence of the court room.
Jeff Ashton: The state would exercise a peremptory challenge.
    Cheney Mason: Batson inquiry.
Linda Drane Burdick: I’m sorry? (Notice the smirking by Baez at this point—not to mention Mason’s smugness.)
Cheney Mason: Oh, I’m sorry. A Batson inquiry. We want to raise them for reasons—let the record reflect that the juror is a black female.
Jeff Ashton: First answer out of her mouth.
Judge Perry: Just a second. I believe there is no disagreement that the juror that was here was of African American heritage?
    (Everyone agrees.)
Jeff Ashton: Specifically, it was her opinions about judging others. Obviously.
Judge Perry: And, specifically, what about her opinions of judging others, Mr. Ashton.
Jeff Ashton: She said that she does not like judging other people on what someone says.
Judge Perry: Okay. Mr. Mason, anything else?
    Cheney Mason: No, sir.
Judge Perry: And that is your only reason; and only reason alone.
Jeff Ashton: No, Your Honor. There is others. I just feel that that is legally sufficient. If you would like me to add to those: as to the death penalty, she indicated that--initially she said, “I just don’t know my opinion about the death penalty.” In response to whether she could give the death penalty, she gave an equivocal response of: “I think I can.” Those would be the reasons.
Judge Perry: Anything from the defense?
Cheney Mason: No, sir. (Don’t miss how pleased with himself he is at this point.)
Judge Perry: Her answers in her so called equivocation that she gave were consistent with other jurors that have appeared before us when they did not understand the question. Based upon that, the court will disallow the peremptory challenge on that juror.
Jeff Ashton: Your Honor. The court didn’t address the sitting in judgement grounds...
Judge Perry: The sitting in judgement was the ground that I have just stated. She indicated, and once she had an explanation, she said that she could sit in judgement. It is quite evident that she, like a number of other jurors that have been here, sort of misunderstood. And a lot of the things, particularly—example, when Mr. Baez asked someone about law enforcement officers; that they would give them a higher standard. And after that juror was explained that they were supposed to treat them like everybody else—then they were there. So, pursuant to Melbourne vs State 679 7 second 759; a 1996 decision of the Florida Supreme Court—it considered all of those factors, and her questioning was not all that in depth. We spent on the first juror about four hours. This juror was here only a short period of time, and looking at the factors explained in that and explained in Neil—the court does not find that to be a race neutral reason.
Jeff Ashton: So, is the court finding that my explanation is not genuine? Because I believe that is the standard in Melbourne—is whether the...
Judge Perry: Mr. Ashton, I have ruled and I’m not going to argue with you.
    End of Quote>

That’s it. She was told she would be required to report back.

This was a very important exchange. Personally, I like the lady. I think she will be very fair. If nothing else, she was honest.

Snoopy and Peggy, I tend to agree with you about Cobra and his theories. Wild. Peggy, I have wondered how many "friends" Casey actually could count on. It sounds to me like Amy, Tony and the others were recent people she started hanging with. They did not know her long enough to really know her and she was a real chamelion with them. Her old friends probably did stay shy of her and it seemed like when she needed someone or something it was always Jesse Grund she fell back on. I can't for the life of me figure out her thinking. Vinnie Politan interviewed the owner of the tattoo shop and he said that the scariest part of all this was that she always seemed like a very attentive mother. He said Casey had been bringing Caylee in there as a infant through toddler. I still don't think she feels that she will be held accountable for what she did........... Very good show today Dave. We all miss you on this blog. Thank you Snoopy

I miss it over here, too, Margaret. When this mess is over, I will be back. What I will be writing is anyone's guess, but I'll be here.

Margaret, I will have to admit that I feel more at home on this blog. Having to be in moderation at OM is the pits but I would rather put up with a little wait than put up with the idiots who just want to disrupt.

I don't think Jesse Grund ever stopped loving Casey. I doubt if Cindy was too broken up when Casey ended her engagement to Jesse. Had Jesse and Casey married, Caylee would not be under Cindy's roof.

Ann Finnell will bring out many things about Cindy that she will not want to hear. I am far from being an expert but judging her as a layperson, Cindy is a very domineering woman. Way back when Geo was a detective in Ohio, Cindy wanted Geo to quit his job and go into the car business... he obeyed.
Casey wanted an abortion or give the child up for adoption.... Cindy wanted her to have the child and keep it...Casey obeyed.

Cindy, right from the start, wanted to run OCSD...they pacified her

Cindy didn't want Tim Miller to look for a deceased child... she threatened him in a voice mail and then tried to run him out of town.

I don't need to go on....as I would hate to spoil Ann Finnell's eye openers at the trial...in the penalty phase, actually.

Baez will tell us in his opening statement that Casey was brainwashed and actually petrified of her mother. Whether this was true is anyone's guess but I think that is where they are headed. An accidental death, cover up and trying to hide from her mother. The lack of remorse on Casey part is due to a malfunction of her brain that makes the right decisions and then there will be the repeated sexual abuse etc etc etc.
