OPEN FORUM > Prayer request please

    Hi All,
    Dave and Snoopy,
Thanks for bringing this open forum to my attention.
As some of you already know, my husband has had a few surgeries and radiation etc. for different cancers. He had surgery a month ago and he has now got an internal infection. I just got back from taking him back to the urgent care at the same hosp. that did his surgery. We will know tomorrow if they are going to have to do more surgery. I have never seen him in so much pain. He had a fever and chills but after some antibiotics and pain meds. he was more comfortable and it was a bit of a relief for me and him, but not completely. I'm a little stressed but maybe not as much as hubby. We have been married for 43 years and have not spent more than a total of 4 weeks apart. He will be having bladder cancer surgery in Jan. It will be a piece of cake compared to what he is going through right now. He has had it before and it wasn't too bad.

Some of you have prayed for him in the past and I am very thankful to you. Once again I ask for the strength of your prayers. Thank you.
    Love and Peace to All

So many illnesses and hurts, How warm and wonderful that prayer can reach hearts across miles
to assist those who suffer and those who wait for their loved ones to feel well again. Frankie I don' t know you or anyone else on this blog but to have made friends and are able to ask for prayer as several here do must help in times of need. I sincerely pray a positive prayer for your husband and for you who sits by the bedside of your loving partner. God's Blessing.

Frankie, please know that I will be praying for you and your husband and also for wisdom for the doctors who will be making decisions to help him. When you are feeling alone and nervous remember that others are lifting you up in prayer to the one who grants comfort and peace.
Rest in His Rightious Right Hand.........................

    Hi scrapbooker5000,
Thank you for prayers. I wanted to cry and fall apart today but didn't want my husband to worry about me. Somehow, I knew I wasn't alone and was stronger than I wanted to be. I feel God is with me all the time and all the prayers are comforting.
The doctors are going to operate tomorrow, probably in the late afternoon because he has a severe infection and is still running a fever. It is hard to see him in so much pain. Tomorrow will be a better day. Love and Peace to All

Frankie, my dear friend, my heart goes out to you in your time of need. God is a great healer and I know He is watching over you and your husband. I pray He will give you both the strength to get thru this hurdle in your road. Through God, I will send positive thoughts your way. Our heavenly Father will guide the hands of the surgeon to rid your husband of the dreaded cancer and rid his body of the infection. I am saying a special prayer as I type this.. Tender hugs, Snoopy

PS, Over my many years, God has carried me and I know He will do the same for you any your dear husband.

Frankie, you and your husband will be in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that He will rid your husband of the infection and that the surgery goes well. I will also pray that He takes away the pain that your husband has been having to endure. Thank you for letting us know about this, so that we can say our prayers and reach out to God so that he can work the many miracles we know that he is capable of. He is watching over both of you and will give you the strength that you need to get through this.

Frankie- I'm so sorry to hear about this, of course, prayers to you both. You know the old song "He is able"? That's the one that comes to my mind when things seem to insurmountable:

    He is able,
He is able, I know he is able,
I know my Lord is able to carry me through...

Snoopy, Mary Jo and Karen C,
Thank you so much for all of your lovely messages. They lifted me up.

The surgery went well though still in pain. The doctor said he should feel much better tomorrow. We are waiting to see what kind of antibiotic is needed. I was upset that I had missed seeing my husband by 5 min. before they took him to surgery. You might know they took him about 3 hours early. I did pretty good and concentrated on sending him love and healing through God throughout the surgery. Both of us do Reiki. I know your prayers have made a difference and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. You are good caring people.

Frankie~~thank God your hubby's surgery went well. I know sometimes they have to do a culture to find the right antibiotic to kill the infection. Please know that you and hubby will be in my prayers. God Bless, my friend.

Thanks, Dave. It is nice to have friends here. I know how busy you are and I'm sure your writing is like my painting in that when you get on a zone you want to stay there without interruption. I appreciate the prayers and support from Snoopy, scrapebooker5000, Mary Jo and KarenC. You are all so kind and thoughtful.

Hubby is a little better again today. He will probably be coming home in a couple of days if they get the infection under control. He had an allergic reaction to a new antibiotic today and got a rash all over his back. Now he is allergic to one more antibiotic. I hope they have lots of different ones and don't run out of choices. LOL. He has had some of the nicest nurses this time. We are blessed and I'm feeling relieved that he is not in as much pain. It's hard for me to watch anybody in pain. Thank you all so much for your prayers. Hugs
